"You have to get up," Megan yelled in the sleeping girls ear as she jumped on her bed repeatedly. The girl groaned and blinked her pale blue eyes at her friend before taking her biggest pillow and smashing it into her friends legs.
Megan toppled over and fell onto the carpeted floor with a thud. "Ouch.." She mumbled while rubbing the side of her head. The girl, who was previously in bed, jumped up and walked to the bathroom.
She brushed her long blonde hair and put it up in a messy bun. "Meg, can you grab the keys?" Shayna got no response and huffed a little. As she grabbed the doorknob a loud thud came from in front of it and then a yelp of pain.
Curiosity, but also fright, fell over every other emotion in Shayna's body as she slowly twisted the door knob. As soon as she placed one foot out, two strong arms wrapped around her waist tightly taking away her strength to move.
Shayna looked down at the two arms. They were both covered with a tight fitting red jacket. As soon as she looked up she noticed the mess. Her bed; broken. And her friends lifeless body staring at her. A small shriek left her lips before one of the hands cupped her mouth muffling her.
She thrashed in the arms of her attacker causing a deep husky laugh to leave his lips. "Fiesty," his voice was empty, no emotion shown through at all, "I like it." With one flicker of his hand he broke the girls jaw and she let out a small scream the best she could.
Before the boy could sink his sharpening teeth into the neck of his next victim, on of his brothers, Beau, ran in. "Luke, no!" But just at that moment; Luke growled at his brother and pierced the girls neck. Draining every source of her DNA within moments.
The Next Week|Sydney, AU|3rd Person
"Tell me," Jennalynn whined to her older sister, Amelia Lynn, don't ask their parents just like the name 'Lynn' a lot. She sighed and shook her head at her younger sister before walking off into the school building.
Her vibrant curls bounced around her perfect cheekbones as she strode down the halls. She earned a few glances from some girls and a few wolf whistles from some guys. "Who's she?" "New girl." "I want that." Were just some of the numerous things people were whispering, well trying to whisper, to each other.
Amelia Lynn blocked it all out as she reached her new assigned locker and quickly put in the combination. Her and Jennalynn received their timetables three weeks early so they were prepared. But Jenna, as Amelia Lynn called her, always asked what class she had last because she couldn't remember and Amelia, as Jenna calls her, could.
One look that Amelia was getting from behind herself was beginning to bug her. She fidgeted and turned around quickly to see a bright pair of eyes. They were a nice shade of blue. She smiled politely and the boy took it as an advantage to walk over to her.
She stood frozen as the guy came closer. He smiled at her just as he leaned into the lockers. "New here, huh?" His accent was a thick british tone. Unlike Amelia' s, hers was more of a light American accent.
"Yes," Amelia stated simply turning her back to him and shoving her bag in her locker.
The guy beside her watched steadily as she moved. A few more whistles came from around them as kids gathered into the halls more. "Maybe I could show you around?"
Amelia, being the 'gorgeous' girl she is in other people's words, knew what he meant by that and lightly laughed while grabbing her Chemistry 19.2 book. As she slammed her locker shut she fixed her dark hazel eyes on the guy. "No, thanks, I know my way around." With that she walked off down the hall; but with an eerie feeling.
-Skip past the school day-
"Oh," Amelia said as her sister squeaked.
"I know! First day and I have a date already!"
All Amelia did was roll her eyes at Jenna. "It's because, one, you're gorgeous, two, we're rich if you forgot that."
Jenna stuck her tongue out at Amelia. "I'd like to think at least once a boy would ask me out for my personality, not money and looks.." she mumbled as they both climbed onto the train.
A sigh escaped Amelia' s lips as she took an empty seat in the back. Only about five people were around her. Jenna, of course, and some strangers. They train began pulling away and Amelia put in her headphones, she turned on 'Little Things' by One Direction and gently tapped on her knee to the beat.
By the time the train had stopped Amelia was asleep and her sister wasn't taking any notice of it. While Jenna was laughing at some video on her phone she got up and off the train; leaving her sleeping sister there with no look back.
After about an hour it was already dark and the train had came to its final stop. "Young lady," someone poked at Amelia' s shoulder causing her to shift in her seat and blink a few times. "It's the last stop." The old women who had woken her up smiles slightly causing more wrinkles in her skin before walking, slowly, off the train.
A small yawn left the girls lips as she stretched her arms and blinked a few times. She turned her head and went to speak to her sister when it hit her. The last stop. Quickly she turned her head again and looked out the small window. It was night. She scurried off the train and seconds later it left the station. A big gust of wind picked up her hair and swooshed it around for a few moments.
As Amelia looked to her surroundings she had no idea she was being watched. Her curls continued to move around her cheeks as she move forward along the concrete walk way. Some of the concrete was broken, had a few red stairs and drinking cups scattering the way.
Cautiously she walked forward clutching her bag tightly to her left side as she did. Her head looked to each side of her and her eyes stopped on a map merely ten feet from her. Quickly she ran over to it. Her eyes grew when she saw where she was. "Melbourne," her voice managed to get out as she stumbled backward.
"What brings you to Melbourne, babe?" A slurred voice from behind her spoke sending shivers down her spine as she quickly turned.
She looked at the face of the drunk man. He looked to be about thirty with dark stubble lining his chin. "Such a cutie like you shouldn't be out all by yourself at night," his slurred words made him hard to understand but luckily, as he came closer, Amelia could understand him.
With a puff of breath the drunk man slammed Amelia back into the sign showing where trains would go and where they'd come from. His fingers rapped tightly around her neck as she clawed at his hand trying to get enough air.
A small smirk took over his lips. "You never know what might happen to a pretty thing like you.." he whispered in her right ear as he slightly released her neck.
As he pulled his head back from by her ear Amelia noticed something unhumanly about him. His eyes were a vibrant red, dark blue veins outlining the bottom of his eyes. And his teeth, they glistened in the very dim moonlight as she struggled in his hold.
Whatever Amelia could muster in a scream she let out hoping someone or at least something could hear her. But the pressure on her neck increased. Suddenly though the man's body was thrown onto the floor with a loud crash. It sent tons of small, but sharp, pieces of concrete flying at her.
But she was also thrown to the ground a body covering hers as the concrete pieces settled themselves. Her eyes slowly reopened to look at the person who had just saved her. He looked.. hot, actually. His slightly tan skin sending off a warm feeling and a small bright strip of blue was in his hair. A small piercing in his nose and two in his lip. Before Amelia could observe him anymore, she fell into darkness.
