A Few Hours Later, Preferably Midnight|3rd Person
Luke had come back later than Jai'd expected. All the other boys had gone, probably hunting. Since Luke locked Amelia in his room no one spoke most of the day. Her crying and screaming kept them silent.
But as soon as Luke walked threw the door, Jai was in his face, his back pinned to the wall. "What the hell was that earlier?!" He spat quietly, knowing Amelia had fallen asleep in tears. She'd woken up a few times; to nightmares.
With a grunt Luke shoved him back. "I showed her I owned her." He replied nonchalantly.
"She knows what we are, you're just scaring her!" Jai looked at his brother, disgust clearly evident on his face.
But Luke merely rolled his eyes. "She's fine, she'll get over it."
Jai burst at his brothers sentence, letting out all the anger he'd managed to keep in the past few days. "For one let's bring up that the entire day she's been screaming and crying! And whenever she finally gets to sleep she wakes up mere minutes later with nightmares and screams for you to stop! For fucks sake Luke we had to call her parents and tell them she was doing some stupid shit that she clearly isn't!"
Luke tuned Jai out and glanced at the stairs as he heard a small whimper which Jai seemed to let slip past his ears. He held no doubt that it was Amelia. He could see her already in his head. Her knees tightly pressed to her chest, laying on his bed shivering, refusing to use the blankets as she listened to them.
"Shut up." He said, looking back at his brother. Jai immediately stopped. "I know, god damnit Jai, you make it seem like I'm blind and deaf."
"You practically are," Jai mumbled, crossing his arms. "The guys and I barely talked today because we let her cry in silence. Because of the bullshit you're putting her through."
With a shrug, Luke sped up the stairs and to his door, pulling his key from his back pocket and unlocking it. Bracing himself for her obnoxious breakdown he was about to witness he walked inside.
Only to be greeted by silence.
Although he'd been right about her position and her being awake. She was silent. Staring ahead of herself at the wall. Luke slowly closed his door, the click it made as he locked it back sending her back into reality.
But she still stayed silent.
He sighed, walking toward the closet. As he was going to walk past the bed, Amelia stretched her right arm out, her hand latching onto Luke's wrist.
For a moment Luke thought she'd say something like "Lay with me". But that's far from what she said. "Luke.. let me go, please, I'll keep your secret and.. and-" Her voice cracked, making her go quiet.
Besides the lighting he could still see she was silently crying, her eyes pleading for him to let her go. "I can't," he mumbled, going to walk away in hopes her hand would easily let his wrist go. Although he wanted her to actually hold his hand, although he'd never admit it. Especially since he couldn't understand it.
But she held it tighter, the tears seemingly stopping. For a moment Luke felt pity, like he'd ran over a puppy. Although before he'd met her he'd never have even cared.
"Don't leave me alone again, please.." She whimpered again and he sighed, slowly walking over to the bed. Her hand slowly.unwinded from around his wrist as he came closer. Luke stripped down to his boxers, quickly sliding a pair of basketball shorts over them before she noticed and slipped into the bed.
He knew she'd want space so he kept distance. But he just looked at her, his eyes tracing over every part of her. Well, from the back that is. "Why'd you want me to stay?" He mumbled quietly, an eerie empty feeling in his stomach and a pang of insecurity hitting him like a brick.
Slowly Amelia rolled over onto her other side, scooting ever so slightly closer to Luke with a deep breath. "There's someone else here, they keep bugging me."
At the sound of this, Luke laughed, making sure it wasn't exactly that loud. "You're kidding?" He raised an eyebrow after his small laughing fit.
A look of shock and scaredness shot through her eyes and she didn't even have to speak. Luke knew she wasn't kidding. "It's probably one of the boys," he groaned, clearly annoyed.
"I-It's not." She croaked, suddenly clutching onto Luke's chest and squinting her eyes shut.
Wind blew in from the window, sending a chill down her spine and Luke knew what was happening. Knew exactly why and who it was too.
"Don't let go of me," he mumbled to her and pushed her slightly over, she was now buried into the right side of his chest. She kept her eyes closed, squeezing him tightly.
"Stefan, c'mon, you're freaking her out!" Luke yelled, his anger flaring. That's when a tall, brunette male with dazzling red eyes shadowed out from the darkness. He smirked, ruffling his set of oddly spaced curls.
His eyes glanced at Amelia, before falling back on Luke. "She's nice." The next moments were a blur to Amelia, and before Luke had caught on to what was happening, she was against the wall, bleeding from her new wounds. Jai was in the room with Daniel, the door busted off its hinges. And Stefan was just about to rip Luke's head off.
