Rouges pov

She is absolutly magnificent! I tjought to my self. I couldn't take my eyes off of her she was so beautiful and strong when she drew her sword. I wonder why she waited till the end to power up like this she was almost out of magic. I look over at Sting and hear him moaning but see that he still has his eyes shut, I hear (Y/N) yelling to banish the beast and look up just in time to see her struggle with controling her power. I see her look at me and she put away her sword and falls to the earth. "(Y/n)!!!!!!" I do my best to hobble quickly over to her she is completely passed out but is breathing okay. I take off one of my layers and lay it under her head, " you silly girl you used too much magic" I say with sadness in my voice. Sitting there with her head in my lap I brush her hair gently off her face with my fingers. She looks so beautiful I wish she wouldnt hide behind her hair everyday. I smile as I look down at her.

" Oi! Wheres the beasty!?"

Stings pov

I wake up sore and exhausted but still alright and I notice the demon is gone. " Oi! Wheres the beasty!?" I yell out before I notice Rouge sitting on the ground with (y/n)'s head in his lap. I get worried and run over, " Rouge? Is she okay? What happened?!"

He doesn't answer right away he starts to then stops I notice him thinking. " she is fine just exhausted she probably hit her head just after we did but when I woke up I saw the demon perish...soo I guess the job is done" he replys quietly and a bit unsure of his words. I give him a curious look but just decide to shrug it off he looks tired too. " well lets go get our reward then and get back to the guild so we can all get better" Rouge nods at that and picks (y/n) up and puts her on his back and they start walking.

Narrators pov

They collect their reward and head back towards the Sabertooth guild. Sting being Sting kept asking Rouge if he had noticed (y/n) using her magic. Unsure of how to answer he just said no decided to keep it to himself untill he could talk with her. The dragons remained quiet for most of the trip home their exceeds all quiet and sleeping aswell for the journey.

Your pov

I wake up with a jolt as I feel my sword being pulled at, instantly lashing my hand out and grabbing onto the arm at my side. Glaring at the theif until I realize its Rouge. " hey its okay I'm just putting it beside you so you can rest easily" he says in a voice so sweet and soft. I smile and let the exhaustion take over again and fall back asleep feeling warm covers being pulled over me.

I wake up and look around and i notice Rouge sitting on the couch reading a book, I cant help but stare at him I just wish he was closer. I sigh and he looks up. "Morning sleepy head." He says with a smile. "Morning" I reply sweetly.

"So we dont have much time, Sting is out with Yukino getting food. Can you tell me what happened to the demon or are you going to keep quiet about your amazing and beautiful power?"

"Uhh-hh wait beautiful?!" I say shocked and also trying to stall so I dont have to answer.

" uh yea.. you looked beautiful in your shadow form?but hey dont change the subject!" He says with a blush and crosses his arms.

" Promis you wont hate me after?"
I sadly ask
" I promise I wont hate you" he can tell its hard for me and he smiles at me with encouragement.

" okay then..umm where do I start?
Well you know my dragon Gortana she was amazing but fierce. Other dragons called her a demon and the shadows thought her to be a Queen. When Gortana found me, I had been cast out by my family, my friends and my village because they believed I was crazy for seeing the shadows dance and they believed I was possessed by the devil because I could move in the shadows. Gortana found me in the shadow realm, I had given up hope of happiness and love and let my soul truly become possesed by demons, I became what my family thought I always was. Gortana took me in and showed me what family was she taught me how to control my magic and the demons within. Well she tried. I became wild and manic with power as the demons that possesed me fueled me with demonic power. My power became to great for even a dragon to help control out of fear she took me away from civilization in hopes of finding something to help...and we did. Gortana was able to find an item that she merged her soul and my untainted soul with making it unbreakable aslong as we live. We then were able to capture my power within the blade. So now I can use shadow magic like you but my power is limited by my sword.....the day after we forged the magic bond with my blade Gortana left. Im unsure if she died or left or it had something to do with the blade. But she left me with only my katana to remind me of her."
I didn't notice how hard I was crying at finally telling someone till Rouge got up and came over to me pulling me into his arms and soothing me wiping away my tears. When I calmed down I finished my explination.
" Sorry about that..haha.....so I was saying, when we were battling that demon the other day I couldn't use my magic because I was afraid od what you would think and leave me like everyone. Once I draw my sword the magic of the demons takes over, i get as you called it my shadow form and I am able to banish and destroy lesser demons by attacking their shadows. Some times the demons give me too much magic and I lose control and can harm people around me if i can't harness it quick enough and put my sword away. I am just afraid of it really.... I'm sorry I know you probably want me to go." My voice cracked as I got closer to tears, trying to hold them back I grab my sword and go to get up. ..and Rouge lets go of me and I know I was right. Tears now spilling down my face I turn to leave.

Sad part I know! Sorry for allot of (y/n) talking I just wanted there to be a full explination for you the reader and Rouge wanted it too you know!!
But anyways why did he let go!?
