I opened my eyes slowly to find Bella in the seat in front of us, propped up on her knees. She was peeping in between the seat next to her and staring at us.
"Why were two holding each other like that?" She asked.
I looked down at Cody's arms around my waist. I cleared my throat nervously and Cody slowly put his hands onto his lap. He looked at me, blushing.
"Yes, Cody. How did your hands find their way around my waist?" I asked sarcastically.
"I guess they're attracted to beauty." He shrugged. I turned around and looked at Bella so Cody couldn't see that I was blushing.
After all of this time, this kid could still make my cheeks turn red so fast you'd think the temperature in the room changed.
Bella scoffed. "I thought you two weren't dating."
"We aren't dating." I said softly.
"Not yet, at least." Cody added, winking.
What did Cody mean by that?
Bella rolled her eyes. "Whatever."
She turned around in her seat and listened to the instructions Counselor Riley was saying.
"G'morning Campers! Are y'all excited to be away from your parents for a whole week?"
Cheering.
"Great enthusiasm! All because your parent's aren't here, doesn't mean you can't go crazy all the time."
Moans.
"But you're still going to get to go crazy!" She winked.
Cody and I looked at each other and smiled. This week was going to be great.
"As long as you all have respect, manners and mind those around you, I promise you all it'll be an amazing experience!"
Clapping.
"If you're excited, I want to hear you scream!"
Screams.
"You all are going to be screaming a lot this week. There is a carnival set up deep inside the camp, a pool, lake, boating, hiking and all sorts of fun classes and activites. Save your chaos for then."
Whistles.
The Counselors lead us out of the bus and onto the campsite after we grabbed our luggage. As of what I could see now, the Camp was beautiful. It was widespread and had a stunning scenery. There was a Mess Hall in front of us, built out of bricks and wood.
"This is the Mess Hall, where you'll be eating. Every morning after 8:00 A.M. we meet in here for breakfast. Lunch is at 12:00 P.M. and dinner is at 5:00 P.M. At 9.00 P.M. your room counselors will direct you into the Mess Hall for a delicious midnight snack!"
Everyone clapped.
"Today we are going to eat, become familiar with your fellow campers and do a fun Midnight Hike!"
Cheering.
"And by midnight, I mean 10:00 P.M. You'll be back in your Cabin by 11:00 P.M., folks." Counselor Riley laughed.
The cheering died down until no one was clapping or whistling anymore.
"Alright. Speaking of Cabins, we want this week to be comfortable for you. You can share a Cabin with a group of four friends. All unisex Cabins will be monitorized by a female counselor." Riley explained.
