Caspian was struggling to get the last few ties of armor laced. He reached for one part, knocking another part out of place. He grunted in frustration, an angered expression flashing across his face.

"Here, let me help you," a soft voice said from behind, causing the king to smile at the sound.

"Thank you, Susan," Caspian said.

The gentle queen just smiled as she laced the pieces together. She handed Caspian his tabard, a red over-shirt matching those Peter and Edmund wore.

"Please be careful," Susan leaned in and whispered, gently brushing her lips on his cheek.

"I've already told you, nothing will ever keep us apart," Caspian smiled at the beautiful woman standing so close to him.

Peter cleared his throat, walking into the room to see his sister practically  pushed up against Caspian.

"Morning," He said, sending glares at the dark haired king.

Caspian nodded in reply, a small blush on his and Susan's cheeks.

"So, what is exactly going on in here?" Peter asked, mostly looking at Caspian.

"Peter! I was helping him get his armor on... The battle could start at any moment," Susan reminded her brother.

The battle against the rebels was nearing. Any minute now, and they would set out to once again free Narnia and place the rightful king on the throne.

"By the way: Why you two were in here "Putting on armor" we were all eating. In other words... You two missed breakfast," Peter said, almost smiling.

Caspian looked upset at this, which caused his love to laugh.

"Come on Caspian! I'll make sure you have something...," Susan said, leading him to the food tent.

Peter shook his head at his sister.Sure, he had given Caspian his permission. And sure, he trusted him, but he just didn't want Susan to rush into a relationship with him so soon.

"Peter, are you alright?" Elizabeth asked, worried for him.

"I'm fine," He said.

Elizabeth noticed that he was watching over Susan and Caspian like a hawk. She sighed at her fiance's overprotectiveness.

"Peter, Susan is twenty-one. She can take care of herself, and can most certainly handle herself in a relationship. Caspian would never hurt her, and I know you know that. I understand she's your younger sister, but she needs her own life. Someday, when she's married, you will have to understand that while she loves you, she will look to her husband for the support and guidance she used to get from you," Elizabeth tried to make him understand.

"Thanks Lizzy. You know I love you, right?" Peter smiled at her. Yet his I love you was meant in case anything happened to either one of them, and it would be their last time together.

Elizabeth kissed him quickly. "I know."

The two both went to throw on their armor.

Meanwhile, the three youngest of the group were at the practice fields. Lucy was determined to learn archery again. She had known it when she was older in the Golden ages, but she had forgotten.
