While the eldest kings went to find Edmund, the rest of the people from the funeral went to the banquet held in Marilyn's honor. It was during this that Susan snuck away to her room, to a place she didn't have to pretend to be brave.
While Susan was "unconsoius", she was still aware of what was going on around her.Which means, Susan had heard everything. Including what the doctor told Caspain.
Susan changed into her undergarments from England and looked down at her stomach. A light pink scar was seen going from her bottom rib to just above her waist. The scar that would forever mark her a damaged.
She couldn't be the wife of a king. Not when the kingdom expected his heir to rule. She knew she would always feel that he wanted to see his child on the throne. That he, in the back of his mind, would be second guessing his decision.
Susan always wanted children. She knew from little on that she wanted a large family. And now, the one thing she focused on in her days away from Narnia was gone
Susan couldn't stay here. She couldn't see his face without feeling guilty. So she threw on her English clothes and ran. Ran to a lamppost and through some pines. Ran to her home, the one the professor left her.
It was there that the gentle queen broke down. She sat and cried her heart out. She was empty, hollow, as if she could never be happy again.
No one would bother to look for her, she thought, since she was useless, not fit to be a queen.

Meanwhile, Edmund ran. He had to to follow her. He couldn't loose her.
Marilyn. She couldn't really be dead. No she was alive. She had to be!
Edmund's thought's because hysterical. He couldn't focus. He didn't even know to where he was going. He just ran.
He started to calm himself as he ran. Deep breaths. Finally, he stopped. He had to be strong. He had to realize she wasn't coming back.
So he sat down to cry. If he couldn't see her again, he could at least think of her. He became so lost in his thoughts that he almost didn't notice someone running.
He turned and saw his sister, looking as if she was going to cry. Then, he noticed she was in her English clothes.
This isn't good, he thought. He watched as his sister ran through the pines separating Narnia and England.
He was going to follow her when he was restrained by to pairs of arms.
"Edmund what are you doing? Have you gone mad?" Peter asked.
"We have to-" the youngest king started.
"Edmund seriously why did you just go running off?" Caspian interrupted.
"Look we can talk about that later. Something more important is going on," Edmund said, remembering what he had seen a few minutes ago.
"How bout we let you clear your mind. Make sure you come back," Peter said, ignoring Edmund's previous statement.
"B-but-"
"Come on Caspian, we have to start the banquet," Peter motioned for them to leave.
Edmund watched them walk away, then ran after Susan.
He went into the room which Susan had stayed on her last visit to the professor, and sure enough she was there.
Edmund was shocked by how his sister looked. Her face was tear streaked, as if she had just finished sobbing. She was staring at the ceiling, eyes like glass.
