(Haha like the title? Lol Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego :P)

"Edmund? What are you doing?" Peter demanded.

"There is something you all need to know: Aslan lied to Elizabeth, telling her a false prophecy," Edmund said.

Everyone gasped, not allowing Edmund to finish. They all started talking at once.

"He lied for Marilyn!" Edmund shouted above the crowd, silencing them.

"How do you know all this?" Peter asked, seriously worried his brother might have lost it.

"Aslan told me after he whisked me away to an island that a fallen star and his daughter," Edmund flinched at the mention of the daughter, "live on. He told me had had saved Marilyn from her life threatening injury when she was young, as she was the pure of heart. The true prophecy stated that When true of heart meets her death, and  the kings and queens of old return and sit upon the throne, then the reign of terror will cease to exist all thanks to the girl with the sword. Marilyn had known all along she was going to die. She didn't want us to pity her, give her sad looks and symphaty. Instead, she had Aslan tell Elizabeth a rephrased version of the prophecy. I was supposed to be back here as the funeral started..." Edmund's voice dropped, "How I wish I was here for the funeral... But I was held up by a very unpleasant lady who for some odd reason believes she is to marry Caspian after a boat trip  and who wouldn't let me leave until I gave Caspian her well wishes..." He then murmured "Psychopath.."

"So Marilyn knew she was going to die?" Lucy asked to verify.

Edmund nodded.

Everyone was too shocked to speak, not being able to say anything. They all had a new respect for the girl, knowing that they would never be able to willingly sacrifice themselves for anyone.

It was then that Edmund broke down in sobs. He missed her. So much. He felt an arm go around his shoulders, his older sister come to comfort him as she always did.

"Susan... Don't let her leave me!" Edmund pleaded, watching the casket slowly leave the service.

"She will never leave you. She lives on in your memory and your heart," Susan said quietly, hugging her younger brother.

Edmund nodded, but went running after Marilyn's casket. Peter and Caspian dashed after him to make sure he didn't do anything stupid.
