Chapter Five: Three Curses and a Letter

The next day I went with my cousin like usual. I still had mixed classes like last year but it was with third and fourth years. As we were getting to class I pondered on how the twins could do to get in the Triwizard Torment. In class Professor Moody demonstrated the three unforgivable curses when I tried asking Jorden if there were more but he told me, "Shut up and pay attention!" In a really mean way I don't understand why but I notice that his face was completely void of any emotion whatsoever, it was really scary, plus a lot of students including Neville looked fearful. I have to ask somebody about it later after the lesson I found the three comforting Neville then Professor Moody took him away I then asked them, "Why was everyone so scared?" Harry looked at me in shock, Hermione in amazement and Ron gave me a dirty look saying, "That's not funny, Tiger." "What's not funny?" I asked confused Hermione then took me to the side telling me all about how the wizard world had a big war because of you know who. "Who?" I asked. "Voldemort." She said. Soon an hour past without us knowing and I was all caught up. She then asked me, "Tiger if I could ask why didn't you know all this?" I thought about it then answer, "My parents thought that I was a squib and it was best to protect me that way." "They did now or even your cousin?" She asked confused. "It doesn't matter Hermione, besides I didn't need need to know that stuff until now." She just sighed and we went to dinner after that I joined the twins for another one of their "famous" pranks. "What do we have to do again?" I whispered to them. "We're going to break into Snape's office and give it a "makeover"." One said smile. "Yeah it well be hilarious." Then they laughed. "But he comes? What if we get caught?" "Don't worry you'll be look out." "But-" "No buts! If you run to any trouble cough three times again." "And if I forget?" "Keep coughing." "Alright, we'll be back soon." I nodded I just hope they just hurry this. Suddenly I heard a voice say, "Hey you! What are you doing there?" It was a Ravenclaw perfect. I froze in fear, "Well? Are you going to answer me?" She asked I then coughed three times. She stepped back a bit probably thinking I was sick asking if I was feeling well worried I started coughing some more she started to freak out debating on what to do by then I was on my knees. I heard two familiar voices saying, "Hey there you are, Tiger." One said. "You know this girl?" The prefect ask quizzically. "Oh yes very well." Said the other. "Do you know what is wrong with her?" "Yes, she must need some water." Said one. "She told us that she was trying to find her cousin but it looks like she gotten lost." "I see." "Don't worry though we'll take her off your hands." "Very well." I was being carried away by one the twins we then went to the Griffindor common room they sat me on one of the couched once settled there I saw Ron and Harry doing their homework. "What are you guys doing?" I asked curiously. "Divination homework." Harry told me. "Who needs this stuff anyway?" Ron grumbled. "I some homework too. Do you mind if I join you guys?" Harry shook his head, "No, we don't mind go ahead." "Thanks." I quickly ran to get my homework then ran back we started working together for a bit then they started to write down anything. A bad felling sudden come over me. "Um guys I don't think you are suppose to do that." I told them nervously." Don't worry about it,Tiger." Said Harry. "Yeah,I bet she'll believe anything we write down." I just shook me head and continued writing. Later, Hermione came by telling us about a club she made called S.P.E.W. that's all about saving house elves and their rights. She asked both boys if they would join her but then a letter came before she could go any further. While Harry read the letter I notice he looked distressed so I tried to talk to him but Hermione blocked my way asking me if I could join her club. "Sorry Hermione, but when I asked my cousin about house elves he told me that as long as i'm not a f-ing pureblood elves should be happy with me." "What do you mean by that?" She asked confused. "I think he means that the Malfoy family or any other pure blood families treat their house elves really bad." I tried but she sighed then told me, "I think your cousin does not like pure bloods at all." I thought about it then said, "I don't know about that. I mean, I think he likes Neville anyways I have to go to bed we have class tomorrow. Goodnight Hermione." I told her. "Goodnight to you too,Tiger." She said back I then picked up my things then headed to me dormitory to catch some sleep.
