Chase pov

Seeing the rest of the family was very emotional. It felt so good to be home after everything that happened. I didn't tell anyone any more details than what I had told bree.
I managed to get away from all the questions by saying that I wanted to clean myself up and rest. I made my way to the bathroom. I looked at my reflection in the mirror, seeing my face for the first time after everything that happened.

"Tell us the code now" the man demanded punching my right cheek.

I lifted my hand up to my face having vivid memory of how I got the bruise. I splashed some water onto my face, running my wet hands through my hair. I felt small droplets of water roll down my back. I hissed as a drop rolled onto one of my wounds.

I wrapped my left arm around my right side, sliding it over my t-shirt. Gritting my teeth at the pain that shot through my upper back at the twisting motion. The slice along my side feeling better with my hand over it.
I gently pulled my shirt off to see the blood stained bandage wrapped around my body. Two shards of metal had sliced through my skin.
I managd to get the metal out of my side, but I was unable to reach the piece on my upper back. I need to get it out as soon as possible. Not only because of the sharp pain it is causing but because it is interfering with my bionic chip.  The metal is so close to my bionic chip that it is interfering with the signal causing me to glitch.

I slowly unraveled the bandage around my body exposing my wounds to the air. The exposeure causing the injuries to sting with excruciating pain, I was gritting my teeth together trying to hold back the painful scream. I know I should have my arm in a sling to help the back of my shoulder but I don't want anyone to know I got hurt, especially bree. She would freak out.

I still need to get the metal out of my upper back. I can't get it out alone and i think the best person to ask would be Leo. I carefully used my other arm to pull my phone out of my pocket, trying not to hurt my side.

From chase - Leo I need you to help me with something.

From Leo - sure buddy what is it

From chase - meet me upstairs. Don't tell anyone

From Leo - okay coming up now

I slipped my phone back into my pocket.
"Chase where are you." Leo called out.
I slipped my head out the door to see that only Leo was up here.

" chase. What did you need my help for." Leo questioned walking over to me.

" I need you to pull a piece of metal out of my back." I grunted.

" what?" I opened the door wider so Leo could see my back. Leo's eyes widened.

" now come in I don't want anyone else to see." Leo stepped in with his eyes still wide and his mouth hanging open.

" CHASE? What happened. You said you didn't get hurt."

"Okay I lied. I didn't want everyone freaking out like you are now. I just need you to carefully take out that piece of metal in my back."

"What you want me to pull that out" he said pointing to it. I nodded my head.

"Okay just warning you this is going to hurt." I rolled my eyes already knowin that.

"Just do it. I just want to get this over with." I demanded clenching onto the sink getting ready.

As soon as Leo touched it I felt the pain shoot through my body.
"ARRrr" I grunted as I felt the cold metal being pulled from my flesh.
I turned around to see Leo holding the large metallic object in front of his face completely astounded at the size of it. The pain was still firing through my skin. I twisted my head to see the gash in my flesh in the mirror.

"That's going to take awhile to heal." I exhaled.

"Ya think" Leo breathed staring at it.

"Here I need your help to put this on." I handed him a shoulder strap which will help keep it in place. As well as a clean bandage for the wound on my side.
"chase how did this happen" Leo asked as he began strapping me up. Still shocked about my wounds. I tensed as the strap hit the open skin.

"Well when the base was under attack. I was in the main control room updating the software. When the explosion hit i sprung out my forcefeild around me and other guy that was helping me.  The other guy fell unconscious from the shock of the blast. We were both lucky to be alive. If it wasn't for my super hearing I wouldn't have responded in time and we would both be dead." I answered dodging his question. Although that did happen I didn't get these two wounds from the explosion. If I did they would have already started healing.  Leo finished stepping me up and I put my shirt back on.

"Wow. Well I'm glad you're alive buddy. It's been really different around the house especially after the signal stopped. Everyone took it really hard. Mr davenport sent bree and Adam looking for you but they had no luck." Leo filled me in.

"I think I need some rest."  I'll see you tomorrow leo. Thanks again for helping me." I thank patting him on the shoulder.

"And please don't tell anyone about my injuries. I don't want anyone worrying. They have worried enough." I pleaded.

"I won't don't worry."
