When night had fallen, Andromeda found herself relaxing against a fallen tree, watching delinquents taking off their bracelets and throwing them into a bonfire. She had to admit, Bellamy was quite the persuasive character. Despite all she disliked about Bellamy, she had to admire that about him. He had convinced most of them that this was a way of liberating themselves and rebelling. If teenagers loved one thing most of all, it was rebelling. She honestly didn't have a problem with this situation in the slightest. It was not her place to tell the kids to keep their bracelets on. She looked down at her own bracelet and rubbed it gently. She had actually begun enjoying herself when Wells Jaha showed up ruining it all.

"What the hell are you doing?" he demanded.

Andromeda dropped her head back against her shoulders and rolled her eyes before looking at him with a bored stare. Bellamy stepped forward from the crowd, "We're liberating ourselves. What does it look like?"

"It looks like you're trying to get us all killed. Our communication system is fried. These wristbands are all we've got. Take them off and the Ark will think we're dying. That it's not safe for them to follow," Wells tried to reason with them.

Andromeda stood up and brushed the dirt off of herself before walking over to stand behind Bellamy. He looked at her oddly for a moment before turning back to Wells.

"That's the point, Chancellor. We can take care of ourselves. Can't we," Bellamy bellowed.

Andromeda kept her face passive as cheers erupted around her.

Once again, Wells can not keep his mouth shut, "You think this is a game?! Those aren't just our parents and our friends. They're our farmers. Our doctors. Our engineers. I don't care what he tells you, we won't survive here on our own. Besides, if it really is safe, how could you not want the rest of our people to come down?"

"My people already are down. Those people locked my people up. Those people killed my mother for the crime of having a second child. Your father did that," Bellamy stalked forward towards Wells.

"My father didn't write the laws," Wells defended.

"No, he enforced them. But not anymore. Not here. Here, there are no laws," Bellamy began to pick up his motivational speed, "Here, we do whatever the-hell we want, whenever-the-hell we want. You don't have to like it, Wells. You can even try to stop it, change it, kill me. You know why? Whatever-the-hell we want"

By Murphy's amazing lack of original thought, he turned this into a chant. The chant rang through the camp and filled everyone with a fire that matched the raging bonfire in the center of the group. Andromeda's chest swelled with a sense bravery and pride for her rag-tag group of cohorts.

Thunder clapped overhead as if cheering them on but Andromeda couldn't quite shake the feeling of dread that came over her. The sky immediately opened up and all negative thoughts were purged from her mind. The rain felt cool and cleansing on her skin. Andromeda had never felt something so clean or so pure. She closed her eyes and smiled up at the sky. She took a few steps forward and bumped into a solid body. She opened her eyes and looked up to see Bellamy smirking down at her.

"Enjoying yourself, sweetheart?"

Andromeda thought about her answer long and hard before responding, "For the first time in a long time, yes."

Bellamy's smirk turned into a genuine smile and he disappeared off into the crowd. Andromeda lifted her head once more to the sky and stood there in complete bliss with the rain pouring down.

Happy Birthday to me.

The next morning, Andromeda spent her time finishing a tent made out of the drop ship parachute. She thought that there would be a peaceful morning on the ground but she never was one for wishful thinking.
