The Knife

Life, and laughter, both needed in life,

Both hard to achieve,

Both wanted by the knife.

The knife cuts deep,

Into your soul.

It leaves you empty,

Where you were whole.

How can you face it?

Push it away.

The only solution,

Is look at the day.

The day you will rise against the bad,

The day you can make them mad.

They anger at your happiness,

And love to see you squirm.

Keep that away, don’t be a worm.

The life you knew, friends with the knife,

Is no longer here, gone, but your life?

It is back, better then before.

It lifts you up, off the floor.

You keep the blade, that cut so deep,

Stored in your mind,

A way for you to keep.

You keep it there, but never again,

Will you run away,

Because you found a way to begin.

Does anyone get it? The 'knife' wasn't an accual blade, but it represents the bad stuff in life. :)
