Chessa POV
I looked at Adam as the waiter brought out our food- My whole plate of blooming onion and then his steak, green beans, and sweet potato. Adam took a huge bite out of his steak and then looked to me.
"So, your sister is Leigh?"
"Yeah, surprised right?"Lots of people were.
"Not really. I mean, personality wise, you seem a little calmer than her. I've heard crazy stories."
"Well, most of them are true. So they really shouldn't be categorized as stories." I said making him laugh.
"I heard one where she splattered red paint on a girl's pants?" He said, asking for me to confirm it. I laughed, and almost spit out my piece of blooming onion.
"Yeah," I said laughing, "But she had good reason. The girl was being rude and y'know. ...the only that has the right to be mean to anyone is. .. Well, Leigh." I said smiling, but Adam's smiling made me laugh.
"What?" He asked laughing with me."What's so funny?"I stopped laughing for a second and just looked at Adam, and his boyish smile and the way he was just being . . . a nice guy. Not a douche, not a jerk. He was just a guy that actually was interested in things about me.
"So, what's your favorite color?"I said popping a piece of the onion in my mouth, and trying to change the subject.
"Blue."
"Really, I see you more as a red kind of guy."
"How can you look like a color?" He said chuckling,.
"I didn't say you looked like the color. I said you look like you would like the color." I said laughing with him. "Well what's your then?" He asked.
"Pink." I said. He busted out laughing at that. "What?"
"You seem like you'd like purple or yellow. Or something...less girly." He said laughing.
"Fine then, you caught me. I love the color pink." I said laughing and throwing my arms in the air. We just laughed until we couldn't anymore, and then we got to-go boxes and decided to leave. When he pulled up at my house, he got out and not only opened my door but also walked me to the door.
"That was really fun." I said. And he smiled. We stood for awkward moment, and as I turned to open the door. Adam took my arm and then kissed me. It was like the best first kiss ever. As we pulled away from each other, with our faces still inches apart, Adam looked in my eyes and said "I hope we can do this again." Then he kissed my cheek and walked to his car. He got in the driver's seat, waved and then drove away. I just slumped into the porch swing, so totally out of my element. That was the most amazing thing that had every happened to me.

The next morning I came downstairs and was faced with Leigh at the bottom of the staircase. "What do you want, Ashleigh?" I asked her.
"Please don't call me that?"
"Call you what, Ashleigh?" I said, just to bother her. I nudged her out of my way and turned to get to the kitchen. She sighed and I could just hear her roll her eyes.
"So, I saw you and Adam last night. A kiss? Wow. He must kinda like you." I swiftly turned to her.
"Leigh, just because every guy you've ever been with doesn't appreciate you as a person, doesn't mean that Adam can't possibly like me for me. Because, you know what, he does. So just butt out and leave me the hell alone!" I said. I walked outside with my bag quickly, and drove to school, leaving Leigh to fend for herself.
