Adam POV
I'm not that sure when it all started, but I do remember what Joe said to me. "Dude, we got to get you laid." Those words altered my life forever. "I mean, think Adam, we're halfway through our Junior year of High School. Were 17. Alex and I both lost ours like Freshman year."
"I'm not a virgin. I have sex. . . I sex it up all the time." I said in defense. We had just sat down at a table in our school library. Alex and Joe were on one side of the table, while I was on the other. "Oh really? Name one girl you've slept with." Alex asked. He was a surfer. Hollister and Aeropostale tried to hire him, but he was just too Aberecrombie & Fitch. Every girl about fainted when he walked by, and then I walked by behind him and they realized that 'no, they hadn't died and gone to heaven'.
"Ya man. Name one." Said Joe. He had black hair and was a bit taller than me. He was my cousin. Our dads were brothers. When my dad dissapeared, recently, I had to move from New Jersey to California.
"Ok, maybe you're right. But I just haven't had a chance. I mean I want to have sex but. . . I don't know anyone here."
"Well we'll find a girl for you." Alex said. "All the girls here are sluts, so it shouldn't be hard to find someone who's willing to have sex with you."
"Ya, I'll just pick some random girl, go up to her and ask 'hey, do you wanna have sex with me'."
"That idea isn't that bad." Alex said. I rolled my eyes.
"I was joking."
"Who should we pick." Alex said ignoring me.
"Someone just as inexperienced as him." Joe said.
"No, someone way more experienced."
"What about a escort?" Joe asked Alex, who shrugged.
"Guys!" I yelled, and got shushed by the librarians. "Could you stop planning my. . . sex life, for two minutes so you can hear what I have to say. Yes I want to have sex, but it's not a main priority of mine."
"He's dying inside." Alex said.
"I know, he really needs help." Joe sympathized. Just then pieces of paper and a few books fell to the floor. It was Liam. He had knocked over some girl and he was running to our table. He didn't even seem to notice the girl.
"Guess who just got to third base with Beverly Lawrence in the girl's locker room?" He said high-fiving Alex and Joe.
"Dude, aren't you gonna help her?"
"Oh, Chessa? She'll be fine. I just bumped into her." He said turning back around to get props from the guys. I sighed and ran over to her. I picked up the last of her books and papers and she stood as I did.
"Hi, I'm Adam. Chessa right?"
"Yea." She looked at me like she wanted to sucker punch me, but also like she was appalled I knew her name.
"The Great Gatsby?" I asked looking at her book I'd picked up. "It's a good book."
"You've read it?" She asked surprised.
"Yea. I read it, a while ago." I said, thinking to myself. I saw her bag, it said 'ceci nest pas un'. I pointed to it "This is not a bag?"
"Oh yea," she said, pushing her hair behind her head, "My sister got it for me. I'm always one for ironic jokes."
"I like it, it's cute." I said before catching my tongue. "Well, I'll see you later."
"Hopefully." She said, smiling and walking away. I walked over to my friends.
