Adam POV

I had to get crafty and Chessa and I went on tons more dates, but I never pushed her to do anything more. I realized that she was the one who liked to be in control. I lost my virginity to her, and it was one of the best moments of my life. But since then, everything with her has felt so real. Like this was something real. I had asked her to go to homecoming with me and it was 2 days before and I still hadn't gotten Alex's proof. I called Chessa up and asked her if she wanted to ditch school. She said yes and was on her way over.

I opened my laptop and started recording as soon as she texted that she was here. I made the screen black so she wouldn't know I was recording. When she came into my room she smiled.

"Cozy."

"Bigger than what I used to have with my dad. This was literally how big the apartment was."

"Really? Wow that must've been harsh."

"I mean yea. But you get used to it after being around it for more than 15 years. No more talking." I said kissing her and then she pushed me away.

"What do you feel for me?"

"What?" I asked confused.

"What do you feel for me? Like do you like me, hate me, feel indifferent. . . love me?" I was too shocked to speak at first but then I smiled and kissed her. I moved on top of her and whispered in her ear. "Actions speak louder than words."

"Here's your stupid video." I said as I walked to the football field before school the next day to show Alex the proof. I had copied the video to my phone. He watched for a few minutes.

"She looks even better than Leigh naked." He said looking at the phone. I snatched it from him.

"Yeah, well you would know."

"I would." He replied. I sighed a little irritated.

"Hey now." Alex said putting his arm over my shoulder. "Dude, you are now the proud owner of an un-crappy car and soon enough 1500 dollars. You should be more appreciative." He took his hand from my shoulder, and he started walking away. "Come to my dad's lot after school today." He said turning back around as he walked backwards to where he was heading. I just nodded my head. Then he turned back around.

----

When I was going to Weight Training first block I was interfered by Leigh. I rolled my eyes annoyingly. "Hi, Leigh."

"Don't hi me."

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

"What do you want with my sister? I mean. . . c'mon." She scoffed. "What game are you playing? I want to know what game you're playing right now. No one is going to hurt my sister. If anyone hurts her on my watch it will be me and only me."

"That's you're problem, Leigh. You think you're right. You think you're actually helping Chessa when all you're doing it making a dirty mess dirtier and showing just how insecure shallow you are."

"Excuse me?" I began to walk to my class so that I wouldn't be late, but as the bell rang I decided a few more moments would be worth it for what I was about to say. I turned back around. If there was one thing I could do for Chessa, it was something she clearly deserved. Call Leigh out

"Your sister if the kindest, sweetest, and most compassionate person. And at least she realizes when she makes mistakes. And she's never said one bad thing about anyone. . . except for you. Because you are a conniving, jealous, stuck-up bitch that just can't get over herself. So what you're saying is a bunch of bullshit. Because the reason I'm with your sister is because. . . it's because she's a better person than anybody I've ever met and she makes me feel bad for the things I do. And you know what, she should've rubbed off on you by now. But maybe even all of her isn't enough for an ego your size." I walked away leaving Leigh standing in the hallway, awe-struck.

Leigh POV

I knew Adam was lying to me. I could feel it. I had a gut feeling, and my gut is never wrong. I saw Adam was going to weight training and decided to leave class about 15 minutes before the end to go snoop through Adam's stuff. When I got to the boy's locker room it was conveniently empty where the lockers were. The guys were all taking showers. I looked down the rows ans then saw Adam's White Aeropostal over the shoulder bag. I went through it and hit the jackpot. I found his phone. It had a code of four numbers. I typed in 1995 -- his birth year and the phone unlocked. "Too easy." I muttered.

I searched through his files. I came to his gallery. Guys usually have weird stuff in their photos. There was nothing weird in the photos though, so I looked in the videos. I hit the pot-o-gold. It was a video of him and Chessa. I played it, all they did was talk at first, but it was almost 30 minutes, They couldn't have spent half an hour on a bed talking. I figured they would kiss or something, but I didn't expect what I saw when I skipped to about 15 minutes. I doubt Chessa knew about this. Adam wanted to play hard ball? Well get ready to strike out!

Chessa POV

I was literally so tired by the time I got to the Cafeteria for my Junior 301 third block. I just wanted to sprawl out on the table top and fall asleep. Our teacher didn't really care what we did, so I did. I lied on top of the table and began to drift off. I was almost asleep until Leigh came racing into the Cafeteria just as the late bell rung. I groaned at the loud bell and then at the squeak the chair Leigh took a seat in made. The most irritating, and most weird thing, was that she hugged me. I sat up and looked at Leigh weirdly. She had a look of pity-sorrow on her face. "What?" I asked

"Chess, I'm so sorry." I looked at Kate and Beverly and they just looked down, not making eye contact.

"For what?" I asked her.

"For being so mean to you. I mean you've proven to me that Adam actually is a good guy. I mean we still have 1 more day, but I'm genuinely surprised.

-

As I was putting the finishing touches on my make-up, there was a knock on the door. I answered it. It was Adam. He looked me up and down and wore a look I'd never seen a boy wear for me. "Wow." He finally managed to sputter out. I opened the door wide enough for him to come in and he stepped inside.

"You can sit on the couch, I still have to finish some of my make-up."

"I think you look beautiful as you are now." I slapped his arm playfully and ran back up stairs.

Adam POV

As I was sitting on the couch I got a text message. I figured it was one of the guys texting me something stupid. I was ready to get my 1500 bucks from Alex and then just get on with my life. I wasn't sure what was going to happen with Chessa and I. But I did genuinely like her. I'm not sure if it was as something more that a friend, but I liked her that much at least. And that had to count for something.

The text was a from a number I didn't know. All it said on the line was attached file. I opened the text and clicked on the attached file. I started playing, it was Chessa and I. I thought that maybe it was Alex trying to mess with me, but when I saw Leigh turn the corner, I knew it wasn't. "Like my message?" She asked, coming right up to the arm rest of the couch.

"How did you get that."

"You really should set a lock on your phone. And if you do, make sure it's a pattern next time."

"What the hell do you want from me?"

"I want you to hurt my sister. Break her heart in front of the whole school."

"And how do you suppose I do that?"

"Kate, Bev, and I are counting ballots for Homecoming court. We got you and Chessa on the ballot sheet last minute. We rig your win and you say some terrible shit to her through the mic. I don't know. Be creative."

"That's sick."

"Well you don't have to." She said walking to the front door as a car blew it's horn. "I can always do it for you." She opened the door and left as soon as Chessa descended the stairs.

"Ready?" She asked with a smile.

"Yea. Of course."
