The evening sun on a rainy day
Curling your toes under the covers
Never letting a moment go to waste
Enjoying every second as lovers
Every memory
Every trial
Makes me feel as if I've lived a while
Every day, hour
Month or two
I remember looking at you
These are the things good for me
These are the things I share
I only hope in another moment
Someone else will care
Chocolate eating on a bad week or year
Friendly meetings full of holiday cheer
Every moment never seems to last
Until you begin to look at the past, oh
If things were always the same
Life wouldn't be such a difficult game
If things had turned out different, too
I never would have been with you
Looking up words and laughing at meanings
Smiling in the sunshine, hearts are beating
Watching every twirl of a leaf that falls
These are my favorite moments of all
A soft jacket, a gentle kiss
These are the things I will surely miss
But as long as the sunshine or rain comes true
I will never forget being near you
Someone else's smile will match my own
Someone else's surprises to be known
If I had never ever thought of this
This would be a moment I would have missed
I wonder sometimes if I ever thought we'd be
Then I think to myself what if I'd disagree?
I only miss the moments being happy with you
I hope you feel the same way when our time has come true
Sometimes I wonder what is good for me
If goodness ever truly means being free
I only wish that love like this used to be
Wouldn't cause so much pain for me
I know I'm not the only casualty
Oh, Oh, Oh
Life really is so bittersweet.
Life is good for me.
Life is good for you.
Life is occasionally true.
Life is forever free.
