To Die For

Chapter Seven

They got back to the hotel room to May yelling at Skye.
"DAISY! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING GETTING SO CLOSE TO WARD LIKE THAT HE ALMOST KISSED YOU!"
"He did kiss me," Skye thought to herself. Then out loud she said
"I WAS JUST PLAYING HIM TO GET HYDRA INFORMATION!"
Skye shoved Hunter down in a chair and started wiping his cuts off with a wet wash cloth.
"HUNTER ALMOST DIED!" May yelled. "WE DIDNT NEED YOU TALKING TO WARD IN THE FIRST PLACE!"
Then May grabbed some medicine and started shoving it harshly on Hunter's wounds in anger. He winced.
"WELL IF I HADN'T KEPT HIM DISTRACTED IN HIS OFFICE AWAY FROM YOU TWO HE WOULD HAVE TORTURED YOU GUYS!" Skye yelled back as she abruptly started wrapping Hunter's scars.
"CAN YOU GUYS JUST GIVE IT A REST?!" Hunter yelled. "YOU'RE JUST MAKING MY PAIN WORSE!"
"Sorry," they both said.
The room became silent. They didn't say anything else all night, they went to sleep in silence. Skye lay in bed thinking about how crazy the day was "Did I seriously say I'd be his Juliet... Not only is that the cheesiest thing ever but we can't do that.. Coulson would freak.. May would straight up kill him.. What did I just get myself into.. Is he worth it? I think I love him.. I told him I did.. But I could just love the old him.. The fake him.. I'm lying to myself.. To him.."
Her thoughts drifted off and she started to drift back in her memory to a few hours ago, what it felt like to be against his firm figure, and brush his lips with hers.. She longed to go back to that moment and forget about shield and about hydra and just be with him, But she couldn't. Instead she could only hug a pillow on an uncomfortable couch in a hotel room she shared with two people who wanted to kill the man she loved..
"How did this happen" she thought
"I should've just stayed with Coulson.." Eventually she drifted off to sleep in her thoughts
