To Die For

Chapter Four

They looked at each other for a long time, not breaking the stare.
"What are we doing?" Skye finally asked. "Where are we going with this? I'm supposed to rise up against you with my Inhuman Team that I don't have and destroy Hydra. How are we looking at each other like this again?"
"I don't know," Ward replied. "But whatever we're doing is working."
Then Ward pulled Skye's head up to his and kissed her. Skye surprisingly kissed him back. She put her hand on the back of his head and combed her fingers through his hair. Then they stopped, their foreheads touching and their eyes were closed.
"Sir?" A Hydra agent asked as he watched them.
Then Ward snapped back into reality as Skye turned around to see a Hydra agent staring at them. Ward quickly let go of Skye's hand that he was holding and rushed through the doorway with the agent.
"Is that your idea of interrogating?!" The agent asked Ward as he closed the door.
"I had it handled," Ward replied. "She was spilling her heart out to me. I've almost got every detail that I need and then we can kill her."
The Hydra agent nodded.
"Whatever you say boss." the hydra agent walked out and Skye lifted an eyebrow at Ward.
"Cover up" he said. She grinned a little and said "Alright. Well I think it's time you spill some of your little heart out to me" he didn't say anything "so why are you head of hydra? Last I saw you you helped us take down a hydra base" she asked
"I killed Kara." He said briefly "she had May's face, I killed her. She helped me when I was shot"
"Sorry bout that.." Skye interrupted "and I killed her and there was nothing I could do. I'm a killer. I can't be good." He continued "so I came back to hydra. It's where I belong." Skye stayed silent for a moment before getting closer to him
"No. No I know you can be good. I know you want to be good"
"It's too late for that. I can't go back to Shield. They won't accept me. I've messed up beyond the point of redemption. So I'm hydra, and you're shield. That's the way it has to be" he stated
"....but I love you" she said, he didn't know what to say, so she continued as she kept stepping closer
"I thought I loved Lincoln. But I was wrong. He just reminded me of you. I love you... If you won't come to shield, okay.." Then she reached her arms around his neck and kissed him gently and pulled back so their foreheads touched
"Daisy... You can't.. I don't want to hurt you" he said quietly
"Call me Skye. I want you to call me Skye. Don't worry about hurting me, I can take care of myself. Just love me." "Okay.." He lifted her face and kissed her again.
