Example on top.

Step 1: Open a canvas of any size and type out your text. I suggest you use a thick, bold font so that the picture can be seen clearly.

Step 2: Open the image you want to put inside your text as a layer onto your canvas. Resize the image to cover up all your text layers. Make sure that the image is ABOVE all the text layers (meaning that when you open it, none of the text layers should be see). If you're typing out your text on a pure white background, then all you have to do is change the blend mode of the image to Lighten, and you're done. If you're doing it on a different colored background, then rasterize all the text layers first. Then merge down all the text layers into one whole layer (right-click - Merge down till only one whole text layer remains). Then, go to Edit - Select Pixels. Moving dotted lines will surround your text. Then click on the layer of the picture in the Layers Panel. Right click, and select 'Add Layer Mask'. The picture will be cut into your text, and you're done! :)

Hope this helped! I'll be off to my hometown in a few hours, so I won't post any more tutorials till Christmas.

So, happy holidays and Merry Christmas in advance! :)) x
