Bella's pov: 
After the story Jacob told me I couldn't stop thinking about it. What if the legends were true?
I had nightmares this night, I saw Eli hanging over this thing and when he turned his head and looked at me I could see myself lying on the ground blood splattered everywhere. I woke up cold in sweat and when I looked into my room it seemed as tho Eli was standing there, but as I turned over to turn on the light he was gone. I put my head in my hands and thought what is this place doing to me? Looking to see what time it was I decided to get up even tho it was saturday,I wouldn't be be able to sleep anyway. I got dresses in a pair of jeans and a flannel shirt going downstairs I found out that my dad went fishing with Billy, nice a day on my own again. Making some food for myself I looked out the window seeing the forest behind my house, maybe that's a good plan for today I could explore the forest. When I was done eating my food, I put on my hiking boots and raincoat and went outside.
Walking trough this forest makes me feel so alive and young even though I'm seventeen hearing that your mom doesn't really want you in her life anymore is hard, I never told anyone how much it effected me but I think my dad can tell that's why he wants to give me all the freedom in the world.

I must have been hiking for at least an hour or two now when I found this meadow, It was almost a perfect cirkel and it had flouwers everywhere and the grass was so tall it reached my hips. Touching the grass it felt almost soft like a blanket, so I decided to lay down and relax for a little. Trying to get the thoughts of Eli and his family out of my head I head this growling sound. I shot up out of the grass to find a mountain lion staring me in the eyes from the edge of the meadow. ''Hey little kitty you don't have to harm me there are plenty of other things to eat around here.'' It started to advance in my direction and I just kept stepping back when I tripped over a tree trunk. ''just great.'' I said to myself seeing the mountain lion getting closer. I just closed my eyes and prayed for a miracle. Then all of a sudden I heard the mountain lion squeak out a sound of pain. I opened my eyes slowly to find a man hanging over the animal. How would a human be, be able to do that? Then the man turned his face in my direction. ''Eli!'' He looked at me with sadness in his eyes that's when I noticed the blood dripping of his chin. ''The legends are true!'' I said with a weird sence of joy. ''Bella we need to have real good talk.'' He said almost angrily. ''Ofcourse Eli.'' He came up behind me as on instinct I held my breath laying back down again he layed next to me and we just layed there he didn't even talk. We just layed in silence. Until the silence had to end.
