Chapter 26: Toughest Decisions
Chapter Summary: Once making decisions was hard. There was no turning back when it was made. What would happen if the decisions were finally made by them?
She was fine.
It was odd that she felt fine. Looking back at his reference when it came to girls, she knew that he preferred with ponytails. She had one up. She tried playing tennis for his sake. He liked tennis a lot so why not focusing on the game too. She noticed that he was never quite the noisy type for he preferred for the people to be quiet around him.
Somehow, she didn't mind of all them anymore. In fact, she could just see them together, without holding a grudge to the both of them. The girl with braided pigtails, Ryuzaki Sakuno, had long ridiculous braids. It wasn't his reference but she saw him teasing her for it.
She was seeing him smiling as he did that. Echizen Ryoma was happy with her and it was odd that she was fine with that.
"You seem fine now."
Cutting from her reverie, she looked to her side just to see a very... unfamiliar to her. There was a boy standing beside her but she knew that she had seen that boy before. He was holding a tennis racket although, she knew that he wasn't regular in the team. She frowned at him;
"Who are you?"
The boy almost jaw dropped when she asked that. She almost laughed because of the funny expression he was showing, "Geez, how rude and I am here trying to talk to you," He turned around and made a funny gesture, "My four years of tennis experience would be nothing for this."
She blinked twice, "Four years?" The boy had a single line to his eyebrows which was really odd for a person to have.
"Being Echizen's ex-girlfriend was pretty tough for you, huh?"
Hearing that from the boy, she stood up and walked away from him.
"H-hey, Ichigata-san, wait up!"
"If you are just going to mock me, you can celebrate it with your friends." Honoka said not looking back at him.
"I am not mocking you," The boy said trying to catch up with her, "In fact, I am kind of impressed of the expression that you are showing them."
That stopped her from walking and looked at him curiously, "What do you want?" She asked still a bit irritated for him of following her.
He placed his finger under his nose and started rubbing it as if he shied his next words, "Well, you kind of stand out because of what you did."
"What?"
"You are not the type who would just hold a grudge and plan to ruin them," He explained making her flinch a little, "You kept them all to yourself."
"I kinda did."
"E?"
She continued walking away from him as she talked, "I am not who you think I am so do not judge me."
"I don't judge you."
For the second time, she looked at him with a surprised expression on her face. His racket was just beside him and he was not following her anymore. He kept a distance between them. It took a few seconds before he continued speaking;
