Once we walked in together, everyone was already setting up for this bonfire. Jack was setting up ice and beer. Kara was handling the snacks, while Spencer ordered boxes of pizza, Dylan was making space for the fire and setting up outside.
I didn't help set up until after my shower. Christian wanted to hop in with me, but he knew he had to help with the party.
Kara left an outfit on my bed for me. She was always persistent on picking out my outfit. Nothing was strange for the two of us. I looked at it for a while, it was cute so I started putting it on. I pulled on the jeans with a nice maroon seater with a cream scarf. It was Fall and really cold. She left me these black, long riding boots that stopped to my knees, I slid them on as well. I figured since my outfit was nice I had to do something with my hair. My hair was really wavy and long, I actually felt somewhat like a supermodel. I applied a few makeup that made my face glow, I slipped on this necklace that my mom had given me for my fifteenth birthday. The necklace goes with the diamond earrings that dad got me. I looked at myself in the mirror, decent.

The door swung open, "you look amazing," Kara said. I continued to look at myself in the mirror.

"you think so?" I looked over at her. Not to be conceited or anything, but I knew I was beautiful. Not just because my mom and Christian always told me, but because there was somethings about me that's unique and that separates me from a lot of people.
"Yea your so beautiful." She said that in an almost shocking manner. "My grandma said there's something odd about you. She thinks your beauty it utterly supernatural." My body tensed. "You know my grandmother, she's  delusional."
"Thank you?" I smiled. It was nice to get compliments from anyone other than my mother.
"The party's about to start. You might want to get going." I grabbed my phone from the night stand, mom didn't call. I think she's off on a romantic getaway with her husband: I would if I was her.
We walked out together, the music was loud and very fast. Bodies were already grinding on each other. Most of the party was outside, where there was beer and a big ass bonfire. I smiled at Kara. "This is nice" I liked it a little; the rush, the anxiety. Everything just looked so thrilling.
"Really?" She asked "it kinda look a bit small, we usually throw bigger and better parties."

"giving to the fact that this is the first party in not going to be drinking makes it kinda strange." I looked around with awe. I think I need to hangout with them more.
"Your not drinking?" She looked a bit bewildered.
"Yea, I'm trying not to get into anything with Christian. I'm stupid when I'm drunk." Most of the time we fight because we're not sober. And I would love to be sober for this night. I want to remember us together, actually loving one another.
"Oh, that's understandable. I think. But first, let's give you something to love about parties." She had this glow in her eyes, that made me nervous.
"What?" I smiled at her.
"The enjoyment and the memory. Let's make this never our memory."
We went outside to the life of this party and in the cooler there was lots of different brands of beer, there was even wine coolers and of course pop for the non drinkers like me.
She handed me a bootle of blue wine cooler. "I can't" rejecting the beverage was the best I could do, but she kept pushing.
"You were serious!"  She shouted with excitement.
"Yea, I can't."

"Your relationship is important to you, isn't it?" It was I've been with Christian since 8th grade, he knows me better than I know myself and for that I love him even more. We came to an understanding with each other. I looked back and Christian was there, In khakis and a dress shirt.  Christians eyes glare at me as he was talking to thus blond girl. She met his gaze and gave me the nastiest look ever. I don't mind him being friendly with other girls, but I hate it when he's too friendly.

There was something about her that reminded her of me. Was it facial or genetics or anything? Wow It's a phenomenon.
I needed space from this crowd. I looked over at Christian again while I stood on the side. This time he was gone. My head was spinning, my thoat was dry. I wanted to run forever and never stop like Forrest.
"I'm gonna get something to drink!" I said to Kara.
