As we trot through the forest my heart is rapidly beating inside my chest. I just know I can't go to sleep with the knights around. It just isn't possible. I know I'm going to cry out and I know that when I do the knights will ask me what's wrong and won't leave me alone until I answer then truthfully. And there is no way Ill be able to lie my way around it.

Suddenly a branch snapped, breaking me out of my daze. Bandits flew out of the trees, swarming towards us like bees to honey. I had not time to react. No time to even jump of my horse when darkness consumed me.

*Arthur's POV*

We were mid battle when a loud and inturputioning cough came from behind. Our opponents all stopped. In utter confusion I turn around to see Merlin, knocked out, in the clutches of what seems to be their leader. They wore dark black trousers and a green jacket. Their eyes were dark green, and felt like they were percing through my soul. They had a hood over their head and a scarf covering the bottom of their face and when they spoke they were muffled, but that did stop their voice freezing my blood cold. "One more move and your little friend gets it."

*Time skip*

*Merlin's POV*

My eyes blinked open, trying to adjust to the new light. I must have been out cold because no dreams had made me restless. I heard a faint sight of relief.

"Thank goodness Merlin, we were worried about you." Gwaine said. "The bandits have us, we arrived at their hideout about 2 hours ago. They put us in here and took the others... I don't know where?!"

"We gotta find them." I say, slurring my words a little. "Guards... Guards!! GUARDS!!!!!!!!""

"Merlin, shut up, what are you thin..." But it was too late to protest, the guards had already arrived and were unshackling the chains and being dragged through the halls. It was only a matter of minutes before we arrived at the main hall and were placed next to the other knights.

"We're sorry to interrupt," One of the guards who dragged us in said. "this one was making a racket," he said, pointing at me "and we thought you'd like to see them."

Their leader opened their mouth to speek and the air seemed to chill. "Yes, yes. Get out." It was only four words but I felt hundreds of things. Most, were some form of fear. But at the same time I felt a sense of recognition. A feeling that I'd heard that voice, or someone's like it, before. Stupidly I engaged my mouth before my brain.

"Have we met before?" The moment the words left my lips I regretted them. The incredulous looks that were being thrown at me were enough for me to understand that I'd just thrown myself into deep trouble.

"No." They said, their icy voice cutting through the silence.

"What do you want with us?" I know I'm stepping over the thin line that has been drawn, but I have to try. Maybe if I understand why I can get us out of this mess. I try not to look at Arthur because I know for a fact that, right now, if he could he'd be strangling me. The next words cut through me like a dagger, stabbing me through my heart, because I know the pain she feels. I feel it everyday.

"I want to avenge my sister."
