~Chapter Five~:
Okay everyone,
I started, getting everyone's attention.
Tonight is our demo night. Tomorrow is the real deal. We can't afford to mess it up tonight for fear of ruining the plan tomorrow. So that means we have to spend a long time planning to make this as fool proof as possible.
Right now I was seriously just rambling on, not knowing what to say, other than getting the point across that I plan on getting out tomorrow. I am not staying here forever if I can help it.
Uh, guys?
Drew spoke up, well, thought up.
Wouldn't it make some sense to make up a plan on what to do after Leah, Becca, and Sarah get out of the aviary? I mean, it's going to take a lot of scouting, I think, just to see where the guards are positioned and stuff. So shouldn't we scout tonight then make a plan?
I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose to keep myself from getting an unneeded headache.
God, why must this be so complicated?
Kyle shouted in our heads.
Seriously, I wanna get out a here,
He whined.
Kyle,
I started,
It's not that complicated so far. All we have to do is get the three of them out of the aviary, scout a clear path to like a shed or something, grab some keys, get us out of these stupid exhibits, and then we'll hide until the zoo opens. We'll either call our parents and they'll fly here or we can buy tickets ourselves somehow.
Yeah, good luck getting enough money to buy eight plane tickets,
said Ben, his voice hopeless and tired.
Bennn, cheer up! We'll most likely be out of here within a day's time. We'll figure everything out then. Who knows, if we go to the police station or something they might have to pay for our tickets home since we're missing minors..?
I ended the sentence weakly, so it sounded more of a question than a hopeful plan.
I mentally slapped myself. I just would really rather be home right now than in this sticky, smelly situation. Yes, smelly, I swear they're going to fire the zoo janitors next. Although, it's the tiniest and slightest bit exciting since our situation is kind of like a mission.
Sighing, I started talking again.
Okay. How about for now Leah, Becca, and Sarah fly out and start scouting for any clear path is a good one, and make sure to tell us what areas to be very careful in. Try to find a small building or spot we can all hide in, then sneak out when this place opens.
Okay,
Becca replied. Next, Kat spoke up.
Guys, I think we should have a plan B or something. I mean, what happens if we're caught, or I don't know, this plan fails and we're stuck here? We only have one chance so...What if we're not exactly lucky?
It was kind of impossible to miss the obvious fear and anxiety in her voice. She's really kind of freaking out.
Then we'll pretend we don't know a thing, play stupid or something. Just say uh....that we broke in? I don't know,
Nick rambled on, answering Kat with a lot of uncertainty.
No, dumbass, then we'll get in trouble for breaking in!
I shouted. I'm working with complete idiots here. They're worse than me!
Well, we could always be let off with a warning, and after we explain the issue about not living in this state they might help us so we don't get into any more trouble,
Becca said thoughtfully, actually considering turning herself into the police for something we didn't even do.
Okay, okay fine. That's plan B I guess. We'll just have to use it if we get caught or something,
I muttered. I seriously was regretting this whole 'hey let's go to the zoo and see some real versions of our animals' idea that I came up with. Sighing, I shifted into my human form to clear my head for a few minutes.
Oh, I gotta love my life.
