Elizabeth above
Elizabeth's POV
Life is good. No, scratch that. Life used to be good. Now, now it's... Its.... Well, I guess it would be better if I started from the beginning.
I am Elizabeth Soule, and this is my story.
I was eight. Life was amazing. My mother was around twenty-nine and my father was around thirty. They were deeply in love, always laughing and never able to keep there hands to themselves. It was gross. They would take me on picnics, take me to see movies, go to expensive restraunts. I think I've been on every ride in Disney Land. Twice.
One afternoon, my mother picked me up from school early. We were going to surprise my father at work, since he was always so stressed out. On our way there, we picked up our favorite food, Fazoli's. When we got to his office, my mother told me to wait outside the office door while she went in. I sat on a comfy chair while holding the food, waiting for my mom to call me in.
A few seconds after she walked in, I heard a scream, a string of obscenities and a whole lot of other stuff an eight year old can't repeat. About two minutes later, my mom ran out of the room, sobbing. She didn't even spare me a glance before she left the building. That was the last time I ever saw her. A few minutes and a few obscenities later, a blonde-haired woman, who I would later label as the blonde-bimbo home-wrecker, came waltzing out of my fathers office, her hair all messed-up, pencil skirt hardly on, and shirt in hands, exposing her black lacey, see-through bra. I kindly pointed this out to her in my innocence, only to be yelled at. She was about to back hand me when my father grabbed her hand, wrenching her around. Clad in only a pair of trousers, he spoke quietly with her, his voice rising for a milli-second before she went on her way. That was the last time I ever saw my father sober.
Happy birthday to me.

Heyo! This is a my first book, so bear with me! This may seem like the general abuse book, but it has a twist. I'll let you figure that out yourself. Anyway, I'm not sure how often I will be able to update since my life is a literal roller coaster from hell, but I'll do my best. I hope you enjoy this book! Just fyi, I update on my phone so if you would kindly point out any mistakes I make, that would be great!
