-Elizabeth's POV-

Adrien's driveway was engulfed in chaos. Two cop cars sat on the street with a third pulled into their driveway. Their lights were going off and almost the entirety of Adrien's family was outside. Parking in the driveway, Adrien took a sort of protective stance in front me. It wasn't until I looked over his shoulder that I understood why.

My father, wearing handcuffs and struggling profusely, was being escorted to a cop car by two deputies. A string of curses spilled out of his mouth and when he saw me, his struggling only increased.

He was forcefully put into the back of a cop car and an officer was talking to Jake. Holding my hand, Adrien lead me over to them, ensuring Lauren was right behind us.

"Happen again. With what you told me, he'll be put on trial. We'll contact you in the next few days for details."

Nodding, Jake shook the officers hand and said law enforcement promptly left, taking my father to jail.

"What happened? Why the hell was Lauren walking home? What was Mr. Soule doing here?" Adrien's questions kept coming.

"The boys and I were waiting for Lauren to be done, but we got a call from Andrew who was hiding because someone was trying to break into the house. When we got here, Elizabeth's dad had climbed the fence and was trying to get into the house. We called the cops and soon after they got here, you got here."

Jakes explanation made sense, but it mostly just upset me. I couldn't believe my father would go so far as to attack Adrien's family.

Crowding into the house, we all went our separate ways. Adrien's parents were out of town for business and wouldn't be back until sometime next week, though Thursday was the predicted day. Today was Friday which meant the weekend was here. Saturday I had a doctors appointment with Adrien's doctor and Sunday Adrien had a football game that the whole family was required to attend, being the first game of the season.

Adrien lead me to his bedroom where he offered to shower with me, but I decided I'd be better off showering alone. Conceding, he decided to wait for me to get out and then we could watch a movie.

The rest of the night passed quickly with jokes, pick up lines, and various other fun things happening before we both fell asleep in eachothers arms.

The next morning, I was awakened to a panicked Adrien rushing around the room, searching for something he couldn't seem to find.

Sitting up in bed, I watched him for a moment, completely unnoticed. Finally, I swung my legs over the side and decided to get up. My doctors appointment was in a little over an hour and we had to drop Lauren off at the school on the way for last minute rehearsal before game day. Leaving Adrien to his worrying, I made my way to his en suite bathroom and brushed my hair, getting ready for the day.

Before I knew it, it was time to leave. I never quite figured out what Adrien was searching for, although it would seem as though he had yet to find it.

As we pulled up to school, Lauren gave her older brother kiss on the cheek and a small wave in my direction, wishing us luck and exiting the car.

Adalyn was meeting us at the doctors office, though we offered to drive her. Pulling into the parking lot, Adrien parked the car. He turned it off and sat for a moment. I gave him a small smile, hoping to ease any nerves he had, though I was quite nervous myself.

He returned my smile before opening his door, making his way to my side of the car. Being the gentleman he was, he held open my door for me, as well as the one leading into the doctors office.
