~Elizabeth's POV ~
-- Six Weeks Later --

October 15th

With a confused glance at the date, I tried to remember why I felt like I was missing something.

Chemistry test? No.
French homework? No.
Someone's birthday? No.

What was I missing? Shaking off the feeling, I finally hauled myself out of bed to get ready for school. It's been six weeks since my birthday and I've been avoiding Adrien like the plague. The only time I ever talked to him was Chemistry and I stick to the bare minimum for conversation. Luckily, he had stopped trying to talk to me after four days of ignoring him.

As soon as I had pushed myself from the small bed, nausea came over me. With a speed to rival The Flash, I made it to the bathroom and emptied the little contents in my stomach.

With a groan, I flushed the toilet and vigorously brushed my teeth to try and rid my mouth of the unpleasant taste.

Shaking my head in annoyance, I stumbled back into my room, stubbing my toe on the doorframe.

"Ouch!"

With another frustrated groan, I crossed the threshold into my room and pulled out a orange and white striped long sleeve shirt. Pairing it with a pair of blue jeans and black vans, I made my way back into the bathroom and twisted the dingy knob to the shower, turning it to a slightly warmer than normal setting since it had been a little less than a week since my dad last 'taught me a lesson', as he liked to call it.

With a pleased shiver at the warm sensation running along my bare back after I had stepped into the water, I began to clean the cuts, happily noticing most of my temporary cuts and bruises were gone.

After I had finished, I stepped out of the tub and started getting ready for the day. I felt better since I had thrown up. Even if I hadn't, I would've had to go to school or else risk a 'lesson' from my father.

Brushing through my slightly tangled hair, I notice the ends are turning a lighter shade of brown, almost blonde. With a sigh, I realized I'd have to cut them off or my dad will actually kill me. I don't know why, but he has some really crazy rules.

Finishing up my normal morning routine, I grabbed my phone and backpack and started on my way to hell.

As usual, when I stepped outside Adi's car waited at the curb. Quickly getting in, I notice she is on the phone with someone.

As she drives away, I can't help but listen in on the interesting conversation.

"Oh come on! You know you like it!" Adi laughs lightly, the sound like music. "Alright fine. How about... hmm. Artic Monkeys? There is no way you don't like them."

Who is she talking to?

"Hey I gotta go. Yes, you will see me at school and no I actually have to go to first block because we have a test today. No! Alright, bye Jake!"

So it was Jake. Hmm.

"Things are going well with Jake, I see?"

"Yea, he's really funny. We should all hang out some time so you can get to know him. I know you think he's just another one of those fuckboys..."

"I never said that." I pause, glancing at Adalyns pursed lips. "I would love to get to know him. If you like him, I'll bet he's a keeper. He's gotta be to put up with you."

"Hey! I am not that high maintenance!" I cast her a look. "Oh whatever. Maybe he could invite Adrien to come with us?"

Vigorously shaking my head, I cross the idea out instantly. "No."
