Chapter 12: Helen

"Jen, you look amazing!"

Ginny spun me around.

"Thanks mom."

I winked at her.

"Aw, you finally called me mom!"

We loved referencing OUAT.

I walked around. Lana was talking to Sean, Ginny with Josh, Adam had papers talking to Eddy. I subconsciously was looking for Colin, but I couldn't find him anywhere. He seemed really out of sorts. I wonder what's going on.

"Hey Josh, have you seen Colin anywhere?"

"No, I haven't Jen. I saw him about 20 minutes ago taking to Sean, but I have no clue."

"Hmm. Okay. I'll go try to find him."

I walked around Josh's house, but nothing. I went outside to see if his car was still here, and it was. I started walking back inside when I heard him talking.

"Helen, it's for Evan. We can make this work...everything was fine before that...that night."

A few seconds later, he started speaking again.

"I was never flirting with her, Helen! It was for the fans. It meant nothing to me. She was just a good friend...things got out of hand but we just missed each other. We've played a character for so long it felt right in the moment. I'm sorry for hurting you."

He was talking about me. I am the one that is causing problems between Helen and Colin... I felt a tear roll down my cheek.

"Can I see you? You can't take Evan from me...he's my happiness, Helen..."'

"Okay bye."

He ended the phone call and rubbed his forehead. He looked really upset.

"Colin, are you okay?"

He looked up.

"I'm fine. I'm gonna go for a walk and blow off some steam."

"Should I go with you?"

"No. I want to be alone."

He walked away. I was worried about him...really worried, I decided to follow behind.

"Colin, wait up."

"Jen, I said I wanted to be alone."

I walked up to him.

"Stop being so stubborn. I want to get some fresh air. I'm your friend, Colin. If there's a problem, I want you to know I'm here..."

"Go back, Jennifer."

"I'm not going anywhere."

I was now only centimeters away from his face.

"Tell me what's wrong."

"This is what's wrong, Jennifer. THIS."

He was upset. He backed away from my face.

"THIS, Jennnifer! I ruined everything. And the worst part is...I wouldn't have changed what I did. I'd do it again."

He didn't have a clue I knew what he was talking about. I felt horrible for spying on his conversation.

"Colin, its okay...relax."

"I don't even have a job anymore..."

"What are you talking about?"

"JENNIFER! Didn't you hear me between your rants about how good life is in LA? I told you they weren't doing the special without you agreeing to come back with the rest of us!"

I started crying.

"God, Colin! I'm sorry! I moved to LA to get away from all of this. I can't believe you can't see that..."

"Jen, I want you to be happy. I just don't understand how you can go from Emma Swan to someone else in 4 months and be willing to just...leave this part of your life behind. That's it."

He started walking back to Josh's house.

"Tell everyone I had to leave."

"Colin. Wait."

"What?!"

"I'll do it. I'll do the reunion special."
