New Neighbors

It's getting close to Christmas and I'm really excited. I have new neighbors moving in later today. I hope they have a daughter around my age. It's been forever since someone moved into the house next door. My best friend was the last one to live there, but her dad got a job up in new York last summer. She always called me may-day because she thought Madison was to "normal". Maybe the new neighbor will give me a nickname. I can already tell I'm gonna spend a lot of time with the new neighbors. I bet they're going to be outgoing and fun unlike the Wilson's across the street, they always seem so grumpy ever since Annie's family moved away. Makes me wonder if I'm a good neighbor or not.

*two hours later*

" they're here mom. Come on let's go!" I yelled.
"Just another minute, the pie isn't done yet" she says back.
I run over to their yard to see them taking their things inside. They have a daughter, she looks like she's my age or a little bit older. I walk over to her slowly.
"Hi there! I'm Madison, I'm your neighbor." I say politely.
"Hi Madison" she says. "My name is Alexandrya but you can call me Alex."
"Okay Alex, would you like me to help you guys get moved in?" I ask.
"Alex honey come help us" her mom yells.
"No we've got this, it was nice meeting you. Let's hang out later when I'm done though" she says as she walks away.

I start walking back and I see my mom coming with the pie. I take the pie and walk over to Alex's parents with her. My mom introduces us, and I hand them the pie. They introduce themselves as Mr. And Mrs. Jennings. We say our goodbyes and head home. I was suppose to hang out with Alex but they spent the whole day unpacking. I guess we'll just have to hang out tomorrow. I walk over to my window to close the curtain when I see something at their window staring back at me. It looks as if it was Alex but this creature has no eyes and is almost as pale as a speck of sugar. I close my curtains as fast as I can.
"It's not real, its just your imagination" I say as I get in bed and close my eyes. "What I just saw was my head playing tricks on me" a couple of minutes later I'm fast asleep...
