A Threat To The Homeland. NCIS Fanfiction (Tiva)

Bomb-barded

As the team approached the old cabin, they instantly noticed it wasn't just a cabin. The doors were held on only by a screw, the glass windows were broken in pieces, the wood that build the cabin make it look unstable. Overall, the cabin itself looked utterly... haunted. So haunted in fact, that the team had their guns drawn before they stepped onto the porch.

"Well if this doesn't shout 'old abandoned meth lab' , I don't know what does." McGee said upon entering. His words echoed through the empty building.

"Tony, Ziva, take the upstairs. McGee you're with me." Gibbs ordered. He and McGee headed towards the kitchen.

"Hey Boss, look at this." McGee pointed to an old oil drum in the corner of the room. Gibbs took off the top of the container, and inside they found a timer counting down from 10 minutes.

An uneasy look appeared on Gibbs and McGee's faces as they glanced up at each other with worry.

A bomb.

Meanwhile: Tony and Ziva--

"These stairs don't look safe..." Ziva observed as they began to walk up them.

"I got you, don't worry." Tony assured her, smiling at his partner. Ziva grinned back. About halfway up the stairs, there was a loud *SNAP!* and a shriek behind Tony. Upon reflex, he turned to find Ziva fallen in between stair steps and her leg and arm bleeding.

"Ziva!" Tony bent down behind her and tried to pick her up, but she screamed in pain. He noticed her leg was stuck.

"Dammit! I'll get you out, hold on."

Behind Tony, Gibbs and McGee were running, McGee shouting something about a bomb.

Great... Ziva's stuck and there's a bomb.

It was then he knew what he had to do. He pulled out his knife as Gibbs and McGee appeared. Tony yelled to them that Ziva was stuck. He told them to go under the stairs and life Ziva up slowly, and he would pull her leg out step by step. If that didn't work, he would die with her.

With only 3 minutes left, Ziva was out safe and headed to the hospital.
