17. The Little Confirmation

A/N - Hi, here's a bad news. My updates will be very slow as now I'll type for only half an hour everyday as my pre-boards are coming. It's not that I study whole day long, but my family thinks that my phone is a distraction.

NANDINI'S P.O.V.

I was listening to Writing's on the Wall by Sam Smith who's now my second crush when I saw Manik standing next to my room's window. The glass door of the window was closed and he was looking damn funny as his glued his nose to the glass and he was looking like a cute piggie tiggie.

I laughed. I did not really want to click a picture of him. Actually, I forgot to click a picture. This is the best part of our favourite moments... These are the only moments which we remember without any photographs.

I think now that I know him, I should stop locking my window.

"Manik!" I said pushing the blankets, removing my head phones and then opening the window, "My home has a door!" I said and smiled.

"Yeah, I know. But the guard was sleeping." he replied.

"You could have called me." I said when Manik laughed and said, "Phone? Oh! This phone!" he said taking out his iPhone 6S all broken saying, "I tried to throw this as a stone on your window. See. I used my phone." he said when I said, "Oh yeah. Intelligent."

"Very." he replied and smirked fake-ly.

"So, what brought you here?" I asked.

"N-n-n-nothing." he said. I raised my eyebrow and asked again, "Sure?"

"Yeah."

"100% sure?"

"Yes. I was....was... Getting bored soIcamehere." he said hurriedly and my brain took five seconds to process what he said.

He then took a deep breathe in. Then he closed his eyes.

"Nandu, tell me. I like a girl. She's very beautiful." he said. I broke. I was shattered. But, I didn't lose hope.

Maybe he's talking about you.

"Who's that lucky girl?" I asked trying to smile.

"Um... Her name.... Name... It's... It's yeah! Her name is Soha." he said.

This was the limit. How could he...? But, it's okay... It was me who was in love with him. He never told me that he was in love with me... It's just me thinking too many good things in my head. Just too many good things...

I turned around and looked down to quickly wipe my tears when Manik asked, "Hey listen, what should I say to her? Six words?"

"SHE DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE A SINGLE WORD FROM YOU! Okay? It's me who love you! I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU and so you can't say anything to her!" I wanted to say but I didn't. I instead said, "Yes, now every girl wants to hear the six magical words. Every girl." I did not want to lose his friendship. We both could be the best of friends and rock! Maybe I'll get to spend time with him then.

"Okay! Should I say to her that I am in love with" he then pulled me to turn around towards him and I fake smiled. He continued, "Her?" he said. I nodded.

"Oh Nandu you are the best! You have helped me. But tell me one thing that how will I know that she loves me or not?"

"She do loves you. There is no girl who won't love you. You are just too good. I am sure she does." I said.

I couldn't take it anymore. I was helping him to pair up with his previous crush who left the town just a few days ago. I said, "Manik. I have to go somewhere and right now I have to change. You see, I'm in a purple pyjama with white polka dots and a pink almost sleeveless top. So, bye."

"Fine. Bye." he said and marched out of my room.

I locked it from inside. I was feeling very bad... The only person whom I really did not want to be any boyfriend but my love loves someone else. Wao God! You've done a wonderful thing with me. But why? I never broke anyone's heart. All my boyfriends themselves said that our relationship was temporary. Kevin? I broke up with him before coming to India because I came to know that he was cheating on me or else I would have kept our relationship as a long distance relationship. Ugh!

MANIK'S P.O.V.

So I sat inside my car literally floating in the air as now I know that she is in love with me and wants to hear that!
