10. The Pre Chapter

A/N - A very happy Choti Diwali to all of you! Bad news - Uttu leaving KY2!!!! Rumors say that even Parth might leave KY2 because maybe he is in talks with a director and if the movie finalizes, he LEAVES!!!! This is just a pre chapter, not a proper chapter.

MANIK'S P.O.V.

"And so, I coordinately invite each and every member of the Elite Club of the S.P.A.C.E. Academy to come to the best Diwali Party tomorrow at the Crown Plaza!" announced she standing behind the podium with the huge words 'ELITE GROUP OF SPACE' written on it.

Nandini is too a part of the Elite Group! Which means she will be coming!!!!!! Yes!!!!!!!

I walked out of the Club Room and went and sat at one of the steps near the football ground. I was sitting alone and again, I was lost in my thoughts. This girl will make me mad one day.

The Crown Plaza is glittering with lights. Golden lights... Beautiful lights just like her beautiful smile and fireflies... I see her across the aisle, talking to someone. She is looking very beautiful.
I walk up to her and the other people leave.
"Manik, you are looking very handsome." she says and smiles. Then, she turns around.
"Thank you. Hey, Nandu...." I say and grabs her arm and pulls her towards me, "I have a surprise for you."
"Manik, there are many people in the party! What are you doing?" she would worry.
"Sshh...." I say and take out a....

SHIT!!!! She will be coming to the party and I haven't even thought about what I'll gift her!!!!

"No need, she has left." said Dhruv sitting next to me. I noticed him.

"What? Don't tell me that her grandma called her back to---"

"Manik, who are you talking about? I am saying that Soha went back to her hometown. Her grandma's dead and you know that." he said.

Oh, it was just Soha.

"Ya... Um... Right... Cool. So, are you coming to the party? Who am I asking? I know you are. Acha just call Navya and inform her that she HAS to come back and attend the party tomorrow." I said and appeared all the other members with a weird smile on their faces.

Nandini was looking beautiful as ever. But, there was something fishy in their smiles.

"Manik," said Mukti, "You know, even Nandini is fond of drinking..."

"NO WAY!!! DON'T EVEN THINK OF THAT!!!!" I said in a reminiscent voice.

"Please?" all of them, this time including Dhruv, begged with puppy eyes.

"No way. This sweet expression won't work on me." I said and turned around.

Flashback
Last year's Diwali Party
"Let's have some lickr!" said Cabir and we all gathered at the back gate of the Taj Hotels.

"Good job! There you go." said Aaryaman to a waiter who helped us getting beer. The happy waiter left.

"So, this is to us!" we all shouted together when we heard someone coming towards us.

"SHIT! If anyone sees us drinking then..." warned Mukti.

"Okay, cool. Let's take the bottles inside." said Cabir.

"But how?" asked Mukti.

"Dhan ta-daaaaa!" said Cabir and pulled out three bottles of coke.

"See guys, mix it with Coke. Coke is being served inside. No one will find us. Hurry!" said Cabir as we heard ma talking to someone and walking towards us.

We quickly mixed the beer with Coke abusing Cabir and ran back to the party.

Seeing that Mr. Kapoor, the earlier Principal of our college was snake dancing on the DJ on the song 'Mein tera dushman, dushman to mera... Mein naagin tu safera!' you all can guess what happened to our beer, and then, what happened to us.

"Please Manik? I know what happened with you guys last year. But this time it won't happen. I drink only beer. Nothing strong like Vodka. Please?" begged Nandini, followed by Mukti, Aaryaman, Cabir and then Dhruv.

"Fine. But after the party." I said as somewhere inside, even after the huge storm that hit my home last year in the form of ma's anger, I wanted to drink on Diwali. But only beer. We don't drink anything very strong.

"Cool!" everyone answered in a unison.
