Felix sandman and the mysterious girl

Chapter 9

Violet P.O.V

Its overwhelming, learning his life story. It almost seems like one of those tragic love stories that teenage girls read. But this is my life, and let me tell you, living it and reading it are two very different things.

Felix looks up and grimaces ''sorry''

''What?'' I say, coming out of my daze. ''you don't have to say sorry for everything you've done. I get it now.''

He smiles through the tears. ''No, I got your shirt wet'' he says and we both laugh through the pain.

To escape the past, we decide to go for a walk around town. We then hear someone yelling out my name, I look over at Felix, confused. Felix takes my hand in his and leads me away.

''VIOLET? VIOLET?'' Its getting louder, and I start to recognize the voice.

Luna bursts through the crowd of people. ''Violet!'' she says, breathless. ''I was looking everywhere for you! I was scared shitless."

She then stops, as if noticing something for the first time. She turns and glares at Felix, ''And who might you be.'' she says looking at our intertwined hands, and back at Felix.

''Felix Sandman?'' he says nervously.

"What you don't know your own name'' Luna snaps.

''ummmmm...''

Her glare suddenly intensifies ''You! You were the one who bullied my sister! Think you can take her hostage now, huh?!'' Her voice got louder and louder until she was screaming in his face.

I can see his expression, he looks absolutely terrified, and I feel like I've got to help before this gets out of hand.

''Luna? Can I talk to you for a second?''

She whips towards me, expression softening for a minute. ''Yeah, okay''.

I motion to Felix to stay there for a moment and lead her into an alley. Once we are out of sight, I speak.

''Okay, so yes, that is the guy who bullied me for a few years but''

''But what?''

''Well, he explained something to me today...'' and I recount Felixs story to the sister I've known for only a few hours.

''He cried the entire time, when he told me. I know how to read emotions Luna, trust me and the only thing I could see etched on his face was pure despair''

She nods in understanding. ''I get it now, I didn't know our dad for very long but I know how it is. I know exactly how he feels, we both left you, I know the guilt he's feeling. Except I don't have any excuse except for my own fear''

We walked back to Felix, Luna went to him and said "Is it too late now to say sorry?'' (A.N. I apoligize we had to)

He smiles and offers a hand out, but she just goes straight for a hug. I smile, glad at the peace between the two people I love.
