Felix sandman and the mysterious girl

Chapter 11

I woke in the exact spot I had fallen, I sat up quickly and sprinted in the restaurant, earning some stares from witnesses, and then grabbed Luna and Felix as quick as possible. I ran until there was nothing left inside of me, until all my adrenaline had worn off and I was breathing too hard, I had reached my front porch. After checking the house for any signs of the evil man, I sat down. Done.

"Violet, what happened back there?" asked Luna, taking the seat beside me.

"Him"

From the way her eyes widened and her mouth dropped open, I figured she knew exactly who I meant. "How?" She whispered.

I shrugged, "Who knows."

Felix, who had been perched on the armrest for the conversation, slid into the space beside me. "What did he say to you"

"It was all kind of a blur. He said something about taking me down," as I thought about it, I gasped, remembering his exact words. "And he said, that I killed his wife, and he will avenge her by killing me."

Luna eyes took on a glassy look, then they contorted in anger. She knew something, I could tell, they then settled and she looked at me sadly. In that moment I knew she was going to tell me everything.

Felix P.O.V

I stared at Violet, watching her reaction to the entire ordeal. On the outside, she seemed calm, but her eyes told the story. They were wider than normal, and had that tired look about them, haunted. The experience had clearly shaken her up, it breaks my heart and I feel so bad for her. She's strong though, stronger than me, stronger than everyone I know. I admire her for that.

As I looked over for the second time, I realized that Luna had started talking.

"-it was as we were coming home from the hospital, after you were born. We had just pulled onto the highway wh- when... a car. They hit us side-on on the passenger side. Our mother was killed instantly, our father suffered brain damage; which half explains why he is like he is. And us, well.. we're here aren't we?"

I felt my entire body go numb with shock.

Violet P.O.V

I went into shock, it felt like I was in agony. I felt my breaths increase in speed, my hands clenched until my nails were digging into my palms, leaving marks. I can't believe all these years dad never told me what happened to mom. I can't believe that she's gone, I never knew her, I never knew my own mother, my life is messed up, but again I have Felix and Luna who cares about me. I just don't know where to go from here.

Hey guys! So some of you may have noticed that we had published a chapter eleven a while ago. Which uh... was the same as chapter ten. Yes, yours truly wrote two of the exact same chapter, and realized two days later (ugggh). So here is the actual- chapter eleven. Sorry about the lack of updates, exam week is finally over however, music and dance etc.. has been quite demanding lately.
