Felix sandman and the mysterious girl

Chapter 10

Recap: He smiles and offers a hand out, but she just goes straight for a hug, I smile, Glad at the peace between the two people I love.

Once we got that little fight figured out between Luna and Felix, we decided to go to Taco Bell.  Of course, Felix yelled:  "Yesssssss, I call dibs on sitting next to Violet!"

All we could do was laugh, Felix took my hand as we ran down the street to Taco Bell.

Once we arrived, Luna went to get us a seat and Felix the food while I went to the washroom. As I reached the end of the cramped hallway, I see a vague shadow, and then someone has  grabbed my arm and roughly dragged me out the door.

I hiss in pain as the persons nails dig further into my skin. I'm pushed against the wall and I glare, hate filling my eyes- straight at my good for nothing father standing in front of me.

My eyes widen as I realize something.
"How did you get out of jail?" Just as I thought my nightmare had gone, it reappears right in front of me.

He smiles evilly, letting out a low laugh, like he knows what his next sentence will do to me. "Felix isn't all you make him out to be."

I struggle to keep my face emotionless as my world comes crashing down. He told me everything, then betrayed me. He did the worst thing he could possibly ever do to me. The insults never hurt, but this, this cuts deep.

I feel my eyes drain of emotion. I know there's more, that clearly wasn't the reason he brought me here.

"I just wanted to give you a message" he starts. "If you think you've escaped from me, you're wrong. I will never forgive you for what you've done-" he presses his for arm against my windpipe, making it harder to breathe. "For taking the life of my wife, you will pay with yours."

I breathe in sharply, confused and wait for him to do it now, press him arm far enough against my throat to cut off all oxygen, and end me. I prepare myself to fight for my own life, but he's too quick.

Black clouds my vision, my whole being goes numb, and I'm frozen. Then the pressure lessens, and I take huge breaths of air, calming my lungs. But when everything finally clears, he's gone.

All the information he told me hits me now. What does he mean? I killed my mother? I have no memory of her at all, when I think of her there is just a blank space. No name, no picture, nothing. And then Felix who, according to him, helped him get out of jail. I don't know what to make of this, considering how untrustworthy my father is.

For once in my life, I just don't know what to do.
