Chapter 9

(Vic's POV)

I ran as fast as I could after her. I was scared because I knew how unstable she was. I just wanted to make sure she was ok. That she was safe.

I finally made it to the front door of my house as I dug through my pockets for my key. I busted through the door and ran through the house, "Alyssa?!" I heard nothing. I ran into my bedroom and my heart dropped. Alyssa sat upright against my bed with a puddle of blood growing from her sliced arm. "Oh god, Alyssa! No!"

I ran over to her limp body and pulled her into my arms. She was unconscious and unresponsive. I took my shirt off and pressed it against her still bleeding arm in attempts to stop the bleeding. "Shit shit shit! Wake up!! You're stronger than this! Please don't leave me!" Tears began to stream down my face. I picked her up and ran out the door to my car. I quickly laid her down in the backseat before speeding off to the hospital.

This can't be happening to me. She can't just walk into my life like this and just leave. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm in fucking love with her. I have never felt like this towards someone. When I first laid eyes on her, I felt something. I wish this was just a dream. I want to fix this. I want to fix her.

I pulled into the hospital and jumped out of the car. I pulled Alyssa put of the backseat and ran towards the automatic doors. "Help! I need someone! She's dying!" I choked out as I ran towards the front desk. Almost immediately, two doctors came and wheeled her off on a stretcher.

I took a seat in the empty waiting room and buried my face in my hands. I don't normally cry in most situations, but I did now. She can't be taken away from me.

My phone began vibrating in my pocket. I didn't check the caller Id before answering. "Hello."

"Dude what happened? I came home to check on you guys only to find blood on your floor. Is Alyssa ok?!" Tony's voice sounding concerned.

"I'm at the emergency room. Meet me here and I'll explain." I said before hanging up the phone. It wasn't long before the guys arrived with their faces covered in concern.

"Why are you shirtless?" Jaime asks confused.

"That's not important. What's important is if Alyssa is ok or not. What's going on?" Tony asks.

"I was too late...She went home and hurt her self. It was bad. She lost so much blood...She can't die on me guys..." I began to let the tears flow again as the guys surrounded me trying comfort me. "I wish I could have gotten there sooner. I could have saved her. I know this sounds insane...but I think I'm in love with her."

Mike stood in front of me and placed his hands my shoulders, "I wish I could tell you that she will be fine, but I can't promise anything. We just need to pray and hope that she's ok." He said before pulling me into a brotherly hug.

"Excuse me sir. Did you bring in Alyssa Roberts?" I turned around to find a nurse standing there questioning.

"Yes that's me."

"Well I have good news. She is conscious and very responsive. She has woken up, but she is very groggy. We will be keeping her over night just to make sure everything is fine. She sliced her arm up pretty deep and she lost an extreme amount of blood. If wouldn't have brought her in on time, she wouldn't have made it. Would you like to visit her while she's awake?" The nurse said immediately lifting the weight off my shoulders. I quickly nodded before she led us to her room.

I didn't hesitate before opening the door. Once our eyes met, tears streamed down her face. "I'm s-so s-orry guys." I ran to the bed and held her in my arms letting her cry.

"No it's ok. Don't cry sweetheart. All that matters is you are ok." I said as I stroked her hair.

"You saved me again..." She whispered. Again?

Her sobs began to subside as Tony came over and knelt by the bed. "I'm really glad you're ok. You had me worried sick, you booger!" Tony smiled at her. She gave him a weak smile back and grabbed him into a hug. "Sorry for worrying you, turtle."

"Unfortunately you have to stay here tonight, but I will be up here bright and early to come rescue you" I said.

"Good, I hate hospitals. They creep me out."

We hung out in the small hospital room and talked about anything that came to mind. Jaime did as he always did and clowned around to brighten the mood. Tony kept quiet as always. And Mike made a sexual joke every once and I while. I couldn't take my eyes off of Alyssa. She was beautiful. Seeing her happy with us guys made me happy. I wanted her to stay happy.

After while, visiting hours were over. We all four told our goodbyes and stepped out of the hospital. Mike stopped me outside and pulled me to the side. "So...you love her eh?"

I blush covered my cheeks, "Yeah."

"So why haven't you told her? It's obvious that she feels the same. Have you seen the way she reacts to you?" Mike said.

I let out a sigh, "Its not that easy. I don't want to run her off. She will think I'm crazy."

"Take it slow then. Here's an idea. Surprise her with a date tomorrow."

"Yeah, good idea. I just don't want to overwhelm her. I've never felt like this for a girl. I haven't even known her that long. It's like love at first sight..."

I didn't understand how I could fall in love so fast. I couldn't get her out of my head.

Right then, I had made up my mind.

I would not stop until she was mine.
