Imagine:

You told Carl that you couldn't take life at Alexandria. it was too cramped for your free spirit. Carl was your only friend inside the walls. Little did you know, Carl was starting to have real feelings for you. even though relationships were seemingly pointless in the apocalypse, and someone would just end up getting their heart ripped in two, but Carl thought that you were worth the risk.

After telling Carl your plan to leave the safety of the walls, he knew he couldn't let you leave him. he couldn't let you of his life. he, in a way, needed you.

the next morning, you headed to the back panel of the wall and scaled it. you sprinted through the dense trees as fast as your legs could carry you. you felt so free, but something was missing. in the back of your mind, you knew that something was Carl. you wanted someone to share this feeling with. but you threw the thoughts away and trudged on.

Carl sprinted after you, but after loosing sight and sound of you, he stopped in his tracks. he felt his heart slowly being torn. he didnt want anything more than being with you. but you left him, so he thought.

he shakes his head in sadness and disappointment. little did he know, you werent too far away. you were watching him. after seeing the look on his face, you knew... you knew you couldnt leave him behind.
