You thought that when rotting monsters took over the planet, the bullshit of society would have gone down the drain with the rest of humanity. But you were wrong, being caught in a petty situation in Alexandria.

7 months into the apocalypse, Alexandria became your home. A safe place with high walls and a community like atmosphere. Your dad found it after your mother had been eaten alive.

You liked Alexandria for the most part. It made you feel safer, it gave you hope and it made things feel slightly normal. Even though you couldn't help but feel confined. You wish that you could go beyond the walls again, to get the rush of survival. You had become accustomed to this safe atmosphere and you hated to admit it, but you had become weak.

Before you and your father found the clean and gated community, you had no hope. No will to go on. "What was the point?" You found yourself asking more often than not. Trying to find somewhere safe was like trying to pick a turd up by it's clean end. (*wink wink*)

But after living behind the walls for only one month, you found Ron. A sweet guy, who made you feel welcome in the gated community, considering you felt like a complete outsider. Ron was extremely protective of you, partially because he had never had someone to care about like he did for you and partially because he didn't know what he would do if he lost you. Ron did in fact love you, although, he has never said that to your face, only thought it. And honestly, it felt good to be cared about and secretly loved. You were on your way to falling for him.

But just as you and Ron were at the peak of your relationship, rick grimes and his group came to Alexandria. Rick helped to make this place stronger, defendable and you admired him. But he wasn't who you had focused on. His son carl, quickly took a liking to you. Though he was quite shy, unable to show proper emotion due to his long existence on the outside. But carl has tried to prove himself to you, though he only thinks of himself as a monster.

There was something special about carl that Ron didn't have. Carl didn't treat you as helpless. Yes, he was protective, but he brought you beyond the walls. He showed you how to properly defend yourself. Carl made you feel exhilarated and strong. You also liked how you felt around carl. The way you could easily open up to him and he would be so understanding. You told him of your moms passing, and you found out his mother passed too. Although you liked carl and felt amazing around him, you were dating Ron and you were never one to cheat. You were loyal.

Another problem, Ron and carl were always on opposite ends of the spectrum. Always butting heads. They both wanted you, even though carl often denied it in front of Ron. Ron was one to become easily jealous, he couldn't have carl take you away. You have caught carl and Ron fighting more than once. Carl usually won the physical fights, he had become strong from his time outside. But Ron won the verbal fights, he was more intellectual than carl.

You often lay awake at night, thoughts rushing around your mind. Did you really like Ron? Or was he just what your were stuck with. You didn't have much of an option here. But you know that what you felt for him wasn't fake or forced. You loved how he would protect you in any circumstance. He was always there to confide in, ever since you arrived. And the way you would melt when he would kiss you.

But what about carl? Did you even like him? Or was it just the fact that you liked having a fresh face around. You always enjoyed figuring new people out. But what about your feeling for him? The way your heart skipped a beat when he looked at you. The way you so easily became lost in his eyes when he would speak. You loved his stories of survival, and you liked that he treated you as an equal, not fragile.
