HAHAHA GUYS THIS IS IN CADI'S POV NOT CELESTE'S LIKE I PUT IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING.

I'M SO SORRY XD

I WAS FEELING INSPIRED AND SHIZ SO I WROTE THIS ALL, YOUR WELCOME.

I did upload a pic of her wings like halfway through the Wingless process last chapter, don't look if you get squeamish about that sort of stuff.

I've probably already said so but if you haven't, check out Wingless, another story from Cadi's world.

I am shaken roughly awake.
"Wake up, you useless used-to-be-blonde sack of-" I hear someone rant above me. "Do you want to die?"

A fierce slap has me paying attention as I open my eyes to see Bella standing above me. Her dark eyes are glaring fiendishly, her shoulder length black hair messy and dishevelled.

"Wait... used to be blonde?" I ask. I look at a strip of hair and my stomach drops. The once curly dark blonde ringlets are now bone white, straight and thick. My skin has taken on a drastic paleness I once would have approved of, but I'm not too sure about it now.

"Now is not the time!" Bella hisses. "Look!"

What I see makes fear snap inside me like bone. It is sudden, instantaneous, and I want to cry.

Wolves.

I remember these wolves. A dark fiendish black, snarling, saliva dripping from their pointed teeth. The only thing that shines brighter than their teeth in the dim of the early morning is their eyes. Amber eyes, fixated towards us. I nervously trace the scar from my last encounter with them.

"You've met these wolves before?" Bella asks, looking at the scar.

"Yes, Andres too-" I stop after I say his name, knowing he wasn't the best topic of conversation for either of us. Bella grimaces.

"One day, I shall slowly gut him like a pig in front of that new whore of his, then throw her off of a cliff into shark infested waters," she muttered. "Now just stay behind me."

I gulp, but do as I'm told. Bella brandishes a knife and points it at the wolf.

"It is useless, demon. You are wounded and hungry. Your wings have been cut in the most inefficient and painful of ways. You are in no condition to fight even our wolves." I look around frantically for the speaker.

"Please," I whisper. My back feels like it's on fire, I'm starving and I want to sleep. "Please don't kill me." Suddenly, my hair is yanked from the back.

"She's one of us, Tanith," someone says. She immediately lets go of my hair.

"Excellent." The satisfaction in her voice is slightly scary. "Wolves-" it's the cold voice from earlier;-"kill the demon."

Bella snarls. She attempts to transform, but she cannot. She takes out her dagger, but her legs are shaking, black demon's blood running like tar down her legs from where her wings were cut. It is obvious that she won't last long.

"No; wait. Stop," I say weakly.

Every head snaps to me.

"Don't- don't kill her." I say.

"Why?" A tall woman steps out of the shadows. She is curvaceous and her features pretty enough, if it wasn't for the fact that she is completely terrifying. Her hair is bone white, too, reaching mid calf, her eyes a pale soulless grey. She is dressed entirely in black leather, and she makes the darkest demon girl look cute and happy.

She strides towards me. "Is her kind not the reason you are here in the first place?" I wonder how she knows that, but I shake it off.

"They're not her kind anymore. She was made Wingless."

As I speak, I know it's hopeless. They know me as little as they know her. It's a miracle they have decided not to kill me, but there is no way that they are going to save her life in order to make me happy. But I am surprised when she considers me for a moment.

"Do you like her? Are you and this demon friends?" she demands.

I know what I'm saying is suicidal, but somehow I feel that this calls for the truth. "I ... I would like to think so." I see Bella's head jerk a little at that, and wince. I think that is demon code for I'm going to beat the crap out of you.

The woman stares at me. "Very well." She looks around. "Are you and your friend able to walk?"

"I- I guess."

"Excellent. Come."

I get unsteadily to my feet. Whatever is going on, I'm utterly confused.
