Taking a couple of slow deep breaths I convinced myself I was simple nervous at meeting new people and the fact I was to meet a couple of boys had no relation to my feelings. As we were welcomed into there home I stood speechless at the decorations around me. The little details went a long way in making the inside of there home make you feel out of place. It was homely indeed but out of the ordinary for me.

There home made me feel small and like it would be so easy for me to be swallowed up and lost inside this maze of halls and doors when in reality it wouldn't seem all that big to anyone else. I had grown use to small things in life living within the label of poor and having it be only my mother and me we had never lusted after the finer things we were content with what we had.

Thankful as I was to have a roof over my head and food in my table and a bed to keep me warm while I slept. I still found myself mesmerised by there home with a hint of longing that maybe someday I will live in a proper home with my children with enough money so they'd never have to worry.
