Ch. 3 ~ Detained

Hi Guys, I am so grateful for all of the feedback that was given!!! Please keep coming with the comments. I hope that you all enjoy Ch. 3 and as always leave a comment and vote!!!!!

"I cannot believe that I have detention today and with Dan of all people." Bella said in exasperation as she walked into the "Detention room" on the other side of the building. The detention room was a disgusting place if she had ever seen one. She knew that there were little critters hiding in the dark and dusty room. It was moldy. Most teachers would have held detention in their rooms, but for "Disorderly displays" you had to come here. There were no windows and only brick walls encasing the room. There was an old 1988 IBM computer that set on the rustic desk in the front of the room and four rows of chairs with five desk in each row.

"Ugh!" Arabella huffed

"How do you think I feel." Dan said

"If it weren't for your presence we wouldn't be in here you jack ass." Bella said

"Look Bella, I know that you don't like me, but its not my fault that we're in here." said Dan

"Really, recap needed I see." Bella said incredously

Sorry, Bella. Sorry that my presence repulses you so much that you flipped me the effing bird okay. I am so sorry!" Said Dan angrily

Bella ignored him, and signed in by swiping her I.D. on the swiper pad. She chose a seat and pulled out her ipad and notebook.

Dan looked at her longingly, but he knew he wouldn't be caught. She wouldn't even look at him.

Lost in his thoughts he didn't notice his phone vibrating wildly on his desk.

"Dan I had my head phones on and I heard that, someones trying to reach you." Bella said indignantly tossing her glance to his Iphone and putting her headphones back in.

"Huh, what? Oh yeah." Dan said Dan looked his phone over and saw that he had three missed calls from an unknown number. As he was about to go to his voicemail the phone rang again.

"Um. Hello." Dan said

"Tonight at 8." the voice said

Dan looked down as worry crossed his face. He looked pained and said, "Okay." in a hushed and secretive voice.

"5425 Aberdeen Rd. next to the warehouse right? " Dan said.

"Yeah." said the voice.

"See you then." Dan said

He clicked the end button. He looked worried and afraid. Pretending to still be listening to her Ipod Arabella looked back down hoping that Dan hadn't noticed that she was eavesdropping. 

Dan packed his bag and got up and left.

"Hold on you fucktard where are you going?"Bella said Dan breathed heavily, something that he only did when he was stressed out or nervous. His shoulders slumpped as he turned around.

"I know you don't owe me anything, but cover for me please Bellz." Dan said pleadingly.

"And if I don't?" she said

"There are going to be some real angry and dangerous people looking for me." He said nervously almost jokingly but Bella knew better.

"What the hell!." she said. Dan gave Bella a pointed look before walking out the door. "Fuck!" she said aloud angrily. The fact that he knew he could still give her those pleading eyes and it worked made her mad. She had heard the address and the time. 

She sat there the remainder of the detention and when Mr. Pitarcher walked in to dismiss her he asked where Dan went. She replied, "There was an emergency with his daughter. He had to jet." She hated lying especially to her teachers for someone she hated, but the way he looked when he walked out the door did something to the inside of her. It made her heart melt and caused her to want to protect him. 

She walked out of detention headed home to put her plan into action. She would go to the address if nothing else then to get answers as to why Dan was acting so secretive.
