Dylan reached for Bella's hand, but she grabbed it away. She hopped back almost falling off the bed.
"Wh..Who are you?" Bella asked afraid.
"You don't remember me?" Dylan asked hurt.
"No, why are you in here?" Bella asked.
He walked away from her bed and called for the doctor.
When Dylan saw that the doctor was apporaching he stepped into the hallway.
"Umm Doc. She's up." He said sadly.
"She is? Thats great news!!!" Doctor Thompson said.
"Yeah, it is, but she dosen't remember me. She went bat shit crazy when she saw me leaned over her when she finally came to." Dylan said in disbelief.
Doctor Johnson placed his hand on the young man's shoulder. "Sometimes there are after effects of a coma son." Doctor Thompson said.
Dylan sighed dejectedly. He was so sad.
"I understand." Dylan responded.
Following Doctor Thompson into the hospital room he sat in the chair furthest away from the bed.
"Hi sweetheart! I'm Doctor Thompson." The graying man said energetically.
"Hi Doctor Thompson." Bella responded just as animated.
"I have to examine you, I will bring a female nurse in to make you more comfortable." he said comfortingly. "I apologize, but I will have to ask the myoung man to leave." Doctor Thompson said looking at Dylan.
"I don't care, I don't know who he is." Bella said honestly.
That hurt. Dylan thought to himself. He was pained. He expected her to still be pissed at him. That he could handle, but the not remembering was eating at his heart and soul.
After half an hour the doctor walked out with the nurse following him.
During that time Dylan called his brothers, Emblem, her parents and her brother.
Feeling like he would be impsoing he decided to stand outside and wait for the impending arrival of their friends and loved ones. Her parents and brother arrived first looking sullen. They greeted him and he let them know that she had amnesia.
"So don't be offended if she dosen't remember you okay." He said hugging both of her parents reassuringly.
Smiling at him they walked into the room.
Next Emblem, Daniel, and Julie arrived. Telling them the same thing, they nodded thankfully and headed into the room.
Last his brother Tyler arrived with Annabella and Anthony his guardsman. He again repeated the sad story to them and they too nodded and walked in expecting the worst.
After a few minutes not being able to take the suspense anymore. he walked in to join everybody. When he got to the entrance of the door what he saw astounded him. Bella was laughing and smiling holding both of the girls.
His look of surprise must have registered with Bella, because she saw him first.
"Dy..Dylan right?" She asked hoping that she had gotten his name right and not wanting to offend him.
"Right." He said softly.
She smiled, the smile that he loved. The one that reached her eyes. He couldn't help but to smile back at her lovingly.
