As soon as I had texted Adilyn I drove off, down the road. I sighed in relief, thank god that was over.
My mind flashed back to the near car-wreck and death incident. My hands tightened on the steering wheel in frustration. I should have been paying attention, instead I had to use my power and prevent it. If the girl hasn't had been so scared, I wouldn't have been able to play it off... Fortunately she closed her eyes, which was the good part.
My mind then flashed back to the Derek incident and I scowled. That freaking demon had to be here? Of all times.
I looked down at the dashboard, and pulled into the gas station. I stopped and got out, preparing to fill the car up. I put my card in, and let it fill.
"Hello Alex," a voice suddenly said from behind me.
My fists clenched and I scowled, "Hello Derek," I replied back as calmly as I could.
"How's God?" He suddenly asked.
I turned, facing him, "oh you know, he's great. Preparing to stomp hell to dust."
"We both know, Satan is much much stronger then God right now, that's why you're down here...gaining more followers." Derek pointed out.
"And why are you up here, hm?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"To have fun, and make sure Gods most trusted angel doesn't gain anymore followers of course."
I rolled my eyes, "I've already gotten quite a few... How many have you turned to the dark side again?" I put the gas pump up.
"I'm going to convert Adilyn."
My eyes flashed in slight anger, "she won't be lost forever," I commented and glanced at him, "keep trying buddy, maybe you'll get her ex or something... But wait... He controls you" I point out.
"Not for longgggg," Derek sang out.
I rolled my eyes again and got in my car. "See ya later demon."
"Bye Angel." He mocked back. "Oh, and by the way, you might want to try not....you know what, never mind," he grinned "have fun with life."
I glanced at him a little and shook my head as I started my car, putting it in drive, driving off down the road. Derek was really a dummy wasn't he?
I pulled onto the dirt road, I had gotten on earlier to come to my house. I pulled into the driveway and got out, locking the car.
I headed in and knocked three times in a certain pattern. Bryan peeked through the door and opened it fully as he allowed me in, a bright smile on his face, "welcome back buddy" he chirped.
I rolled my eyes and stepped in as I shut the door behind me, "have you been watching the news?" I asked curiously.
Bryan nodded, "America has fully given themselves up to the British again, of course to people that is the least of their worries, but all around you can see everyone starting to become one nation." He told me.
I walked into the living room where five others sat, I looked around, at the six angels around me. "You guys ready to start heading out?"I asked curiously.
Mark nodded, "it's time we all separate and try to save as many people from hell as we can." He told everyone. They all agreed
"Alex, you stay here, considering you're already in the process of receiving Adilyn and several others." A guy named John said.
"If only she knew she was supposed to be one of the main angels." Peter sighed
"It is her choice." I pointed out, "she can still go to the dark side and lose everything good. "
"Do you think she will?" Luke asked raising an eyebrow in curiosity.
I shrugged, "she seems too nice to be dark." I said honestly.
"But you also need to remember, a lot of nice people go to hell. That's why we need to move and save as many as we can. It is why god sent us here after all." Matthew muttered as he sat in the chair calmly, his jet black hair covering his eyes.
"Right." I said and let out a small sigh, "lets just pray and be on our missions."
Bryan nodded as everyone got up and stood in a circle clasping hand. All at once a bunch of quiet chatter rose in the air as we all started saying our separate prayer.
When the noise dimmed down to silence, I started talked, "help us seek your will. We're ready for you, but not everyone else is. Thank you for giving us this time to save people, to help you. In the Lords name i pray, Amen."
We all opened our eyes and wrapped our arms around each other in a group hug. "Do not fall under temptation, we can not afford to lose our angelic powers." Matthew commented softly. We all nodded.
Bryan grinned, "time to prepare to kick some demon butt!" He said happily.
A few of us chuckled a little as we separated. Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter and Bryan grabbed there bags and headed toward the garage where there cars were. I watched after them silently, "be safe brothers." I whispered softly a small smile on my face as I could hear the cars drive off.
Seven angels separating in all parts of the world, where the most help was needed in. Three of us was stationed in America, the once godly country, now torn apart. If only the teenagers could realize that time was running short.
