Cora's pov
I am driving to my bro's place. He is 6 months older than me. He doesn't have my mom. That's why he is my half brother. Gene, my older half brother, died and Dante needs another person to pay the rent. So why not leave my hometown and live with him? Right? Wrong! Mom made me do this. She forgave father, cause' she is nice like that. Dad lives far away in a place where special people go. He lost his memory and can't remember any of his children. I am going to attend Phoenix High, my junior year, with Dante. Not that I don't mind, it's just I haven't seen the guy in years. Like, when I was five. But I am a little excited. My dark purple hair goes crazy in the wind. I have been in this car for over an hour now. I maybe 15, but I am incredibly smart for my age. Like, BIG TIME. I may seem dumb, but I am not. That's why I got my license early. TAKE THAT TO THE PEOPLE WHO MADE FUN OF ME! I sigh to myself, thinking what life with a boy would be like. I never, truly, meet my father, but I lived with mom. On a farm. I am a country girl, born and raised. One person I do know that attends Pheonix High, is Kiki. She is awesome! She sometimes comes down and helps on the farm. I see the neighborhood where Dante lives. I pull down Hunters Lane and I see a guy. Blue hair and blue eyes, the same as mine. I have my moms purple hair. He smiles and waves. It's Dante alright. I pull in the drive way and hop out. "Hey sis! Long time no see!" He hugs me. I hug back. "Hey bro. Missed you."
"I missed you too."
"How is dad? How is your mom?"
"They are doing good....for people who lost their memory."
"And.....I am sorry about what happened." I said, letting go of his grip. Dad and his mom were the last people to see Gene alive and well. Gene went missing right after his mom and our dad lost their memories. It's sad, and Dante knew father and his mother best, but I don't feel that bad. "It's ok, little sis."
"Ok, let's get something strait. Don't call me 'little sis' but you can call me sis. Got it?" I asked smiling.  "Got it, Cora." He went for another hug, "I missed you."
"I missed you too."
He grabbed my stuff from the trunk of my car and helped me carry it inside. We had Chinese Take-out for dinner and that night, I actually couldn't wait for school the next day.
