My alarm clock buzzed, waking me up. Huh? I don't remember setting the alarm clock. It's supposed to be Saturday!
But when I checked the alarm-it was one of those that says the date as well-it read 5/15/15. Friday the fifteenth... My birthday.
That didn't make any sense. I got up and went downstairs to look for my parents. But instead of finding my dad reading the newspaper and sipping coffee like he always did on Saturday mornings, I found a note on the kitchen table. It was the same one from yesterday.
Okay...this was a little strange.
I went upstairs to get dressed and found that my party dress, which I had thrown carelessly on the floor last night, was now hanging up in the closet. Hmm. Mom must've come in last night and hung it up for me. No biggie.
Next I went to the laundry room. But instead of finding the load of jeans Dad had put in last night, I found my outfit from yesterday. Okay, now this was really weirding me out!
The sound of the school bus made me jump, and I looked out the window to see it pulled at my bus stop. On a Saturday?
Ohhhh, I get it, I thought to myself. I'm dreaming. Karma wants me to relive the worst day of my life all over again.
Since I was obviously dreaming, I pinched myself. But instead of waking up back in my bed, I just stood there with a throbbing arm. "Ouch," I mumbled.
So if this wasn't a dream...what was it?
