Cameron and his parents were right across the street. With a moving van. And a SOLD sign in front of the house.
"GAH!" I screamed. Then I rushed downstairs and out the front door. "What the heck are you doing here?!"
"Oh, didn't I tell you?" Cameron replied, wrapping me up in a hug. "My dad got transferred back. So I live here now."
My mouth hung open in shock. "No, you didn't tell me! This is the best news ever!" I hugged him all over again, and he chuckled.
"I wanted to surprise you," he said.
"Well you definitely did. And you're just in time! I rescheduled my party for next weekend."
"Great!"
"Hmm, that depends."
"On what?"
"If you'll be my date."
His face broke into a smile and he hugged me again. "Well, finally. I thought you'd never ask."
The end.
