"Hey Cassidy"

I closed my locker to see my best friend, Hayden, coming towards me. She was wearing black high heeled booties, a pretty maroon skirt with nylons (despite how cold it was outside), and a cream and black striped colored sweater that fell off one of her shoulders. She looked like she copied and pasted her whole outfit straight off of tumblr.

"Hey Hayden"

"Sooooo," she said drawing out the syllable, "How was your morning?"

I doubt she'd want to hear that after I finally came in, I had to take a shower that was near scorching hot just to get some warmth back in my body. I doubt she'd want to know that I had to sneak out so my father wouldn't wake up and start round two. I doubt she wanted to hear how the weight from my book-bag was causing the foot print sized bruise on my back to ache. I doubt she wanted to know that I cried the whole time I drove to school, the only place I ever let myself cry. I knew she wouldn't want to know these things because well, no one knew. And no one ever would.

So instead I went with a simple "It was fine" and we made our way to first period together. We walked into Mr. Walker's chemistry class after the bell rang.

"Ms. Lawrence, Ms. Rhys, you two are late again, one more time and you'll have detention." He said as he faced the chalkboard. We took our seats together in the back and took out our books.

For the next 45 minutes, we took notes on the molecular theory of an atom. When the bell finally rang I couldn't wait to get out of there.

Most my day goes like this until 8th period rolls around. My absolute favorite class of the day, is composition with Mrs. Peterson. Its the only class I maintain a A+. I'm so good in it Mrs. Peterson tried to refer me to the AP version of the class but I had to turn it down. (I would never have enough money for the exam fee)

I took my seat in the first row and took out my notepad. The bell had rang, and Mrs.Peterson was just about to begin when a knock at the door interrupted her. She walked briskly over to open it and in walked an angel. Well not really, but pretty close. What really walked in was a GAH-worthy (like Hayden puts it) guy who had dark scruffy hair, a leather jacket and beautiful blue eyes. They weren't too bright but not too dark either, just the perfect shade.

He breezed into the room and took a seat in the back.

His presence shouldn't of effected me at all, I don't even know his name, but for the rest of class I couldn't help but think of him. But what really distracted me was the fact that I couldn't shake the feeling he gave me, even from across the room.

And when he left the room, I wanted so desperately for that feeling to come back.
