When Annamarie came back she threw her bag on her bed.

"Ciel, can you grab my laptop quick?" she asked me as she sat crisscross on her bed.

"Sure," I responded as I flew to get her laptop,"What for?"

"Mr. Carter wants us to look up a case of murder, and write about it."

"Okay," I replied plainly,"Have fun with that."

She must've had fun with it because be the next Thursday she had a five page report about a murder.

On the Thursday she was excited.

"I'm excited," she threw out.

"Why is that?" I asked.

"This is what I have wanted to do for six years," she answered,"and those years have led up to this." She stared out for a second, and came back to reality. "Well, time to leave." I followed her out, and to the front of the campus. All of the students boarded the bus. Fifteen minutes later they unloaded and got assigned to a detective to show them around. Annamarie was in a group of five other students. The detective she was assigned to had long, curly blonde hair, and was named Alex.

Alex led them through the maze of a place. She was very kind and explained things well.

"This is the interrogation room," she explained.

Annamarie looked in. Her face dropped. Tears started to form. In front of the detective was Annamarie's mother. She had her head in her hands. Then I knew why her eyes were different at the airport and, at their home. She was possessed by a demon. I looked closer as she lifted her head for a second. I saw her eyes, and I saw the demon. I flew to Annamarie to tell her.

"She was possessed by a demon," I explained sorrowfully,"The demon framed her for a crime."

Her eyes went from scared to determined within a matter of seconds. She turned her head to Alex, as she started to continue walking.

"Excuse me," she asked,"Alex." Alex turned her head to Annamarie.

"Yes," she replied.

"What crime was that woman a suspect for?"

"Murder," Alex calmly replied.

Annamarie's face got for determined. She knew her goal then and there. I knew as well. She was going to prove her mother innocent.

Eventually they left the building, and Annamarie immediately went to Mr. Carter.

"May I help to investigate cases?" she requested.

"I'll permit it on one condition. You have to maintain a 'B-' in all of your classes."

"Okay, thank you." She ran up the took off up the stairs. She caught Alex before she opened the door.

"May I help to investigate the case with the woman that we saw?"

"Sure," Alex smiled,"We would love some more help. I will show you to one of our investigation rooms. The one I'm taking you to has files."

Annamarie followed Alex as they walked in, and down a few hallways. They walked into a large room with files.

"Take a seat," Alex offered. Annamarie sat, as Alex went through the files, and pulled out a manila folder. She handed the file to Annamarie. "Have fun," she waved as she shut the door.

The room was silent aside from an occasional detective walking in to get files, and Annamarie flipping pages. I tried see some of the evidence, but she shooed me away with the gesture of her hand. Reading. Writing. The same things for two hours. After those two hours, she packed up, and put the file back.

"I'm going to get some lunch. Are you coming?" she asked.

"Yeah," I answered back.

She had to walk down multiple hallways to get to the front door. She then, walked down the street to a coffee shop. She walked in and ordered a bagel and coffee. She sat down to wait, and while she did Annamarie pulled out a few of the things she wrote. I tried another time to see it, but she swatted me away like a fly.

"Why won't you let me look at it?" I implored. She ignored me.

The man walked up with her bagel, and coffee. She started to eat, drink, and read at the same time. It's like she is already a detective. She is however, investigating a case with no way of proving it correct.
