She finished her lunch within fifteen minutes. Annamarie instantly walked back to the large, tan, detective building. She went to the head office, and knocked. A large man with a beard stood tall in front of her.

"Who the hell let you in here?" he commanded.

Annamarie pulled out her student I.D as she replied,"I'm in the Junior Detective Program. I need to talk about case three hundred two."

"What about it?"

"The suspect of Sonia is innocent."

"Are you blind?" the head bellowed,"All evidence points to her! Have you seen the evidence! The fingerprints to the type of blood on her phone. Hell, even a security camera caught her! You can't just-," she interrupted him mid rant.

"I will bring you evidence of her being innocent. If I do then can you close the case as innocent?"

"Sure," he warded off,"Do that, and she will be free. You have one week. Do you really think you can?"

"Yes, I do. In fact I believe that I am the only one who can."

"Well, how about this?" he challenged,"You have a week to do it, If you don't then you can say goodbye to your student I.D." He stuck out his hand, indicating a deal.

She wanted this for six years. She wouldn't-. My thoughts were interrupted by her hand sticking out, grasping his large, hairy hand.

"Are you crazy?" I hollered at her. She completely tunned me out.

"Deal," she agreed with a straight face.

She calmly walked away from him, her face as determined as ever. I knew she wanted to prove the existence of demons, but this is insane. She was giving up everything she has worked to for the past six years.

She speed walked to the investigation room. She opened the door, and grabbed the files from the file cabinet. She took out the baggies of evidence, and snapped pictures of them..

"You are really going to do this, huh?" I questioned.

She completely ignored me. Her eyes were focused on one out of the three main pieces of evidence. She was examining the phone.

"How are you going to prove your mother innocent with her phone?"

"To be honest, I am not sure," she answered,"Fingerprints don't change when people are possessed do they?"

"No they don't. That's unscientific."

"Says the ghost."

Annamarie stared at the phone. She stared at the phone probably thinking about how to prove her mother innocent with it. She stared at it for an hour while looking at some writing.

"How about you look for the tape that was recorded," I offered.

"Huh." She looked at me.

"The head said that there was a camera that caught your mother killing the person. Maybe you can show the difference between your mom and, your mom possessed?"

"Ciel. That is an amazing idea! I'm surprised that I didn't come up with that."

She looked to the computer. Before she could do anything Alex walked in.

"The building is closing up soon," Alex told her,"It's time to go."

"Okay," Annamarie replied.

As Alex shut the door Annamarie put the files away, and picked up her bag. She walked out and, barely made the bus. She was back in her dorm in twenty minutes.

She opened the door and threw her bag down. Crash. Her body was on the floor. She couldn't move. I looked above her.

"John why are you here? Haven't you done enough?"

"I just came here to give her a warning." He turned his head down to Annamarie. "I will let you investigate, but if your mother is proven innocent then you will die."

"John!" I hollered at him.

"Fine." He dashed away, probably to the prison, and Annamarie could move.

She got up, and looked straight at me.

"I assume that he was the demon who possessed my mother?"

"Yes. Yes it was."

"Well, back to work."

"What?"

"I'm going to get back to work on my mother's case."

"Did you not hear John not even a minute ago!

"Oh I did. He can't kill me."

"He will. I know it for sure."

"Well I have a plan."

"What kind of plan."

She ignored me. It wasn't a big surprise.
