Chapter 8

Ava's P.O.V

"So........what now?" I ask rubbing my still sore neck. "Well, we could either take you to mine or Kathe's pack" Athan says. Kathe nods to Athan. "Then it's settled, we're going to my pack" Athan says. I sigh, "I can't go, I have to stay with my parents." I tell them. "I'm sorry but you're gonna have to" Kathe says. I scoff, "Excuse me? I haven't seen them in....4 years." I say. I look at Kathe with puppy dog eyes, "Kathe please you know why". He sighs, "What if we invite them to stay with us" he suggests. Athan rolls his eyes, "Absolutely not". I frown, "Hey, you said I was Luna, so I make the choice to bring them with me". I say sticking out my tongue. He scoffs, "Fine my pretty little mate". He says with a smile. "Aw, the big bad alpha is being all lovey-dovey" I say laughing. "Hey, I'm still the big bad alpha, you're just my mate, you make me go soft" He says. I stifle a laugh, "Really now, I make you go soft". He looks at me in horror, "I didn't mean it like that you nasty". Kathe just laughs from the side. "Has everyone made up?" Kathe's mom comes and asks us. I smile as Colton and Sasha come running to hide behind their mom. "Yeah mom" Kathe answers. "Who's he?" Colton asks. "This is our friend Athan" I say. Colton stands in front of Athan. "Are you mean?". Athan laughs, "Sometimes" he answers. I laugh. "Well don't be mean to my big bwubber okay?". Athan nods and Colton jumps onto my lap. "Hey little guy, sorry but we gotta leave now okay?" I ask. He pouts, "Okay but come soon.I set him off my lap and onto the seat, while I get up. I grab my coat and fling it on, the boys following. "Bye" I say as we walk out the door. They wave goodbye as I shut the door. We walk out into the cold snowy day. "Oh come on, it's still snowing?" Athan groans. Me and Kathe laugh, "It's like negative 100 degrees out here" I say. "Feels like it" Kathe replies. We walk and after about 10 minutes we make it back to my house. I quickly unlock the door and we all huddle inside. Shedding our wet coats and shoes, we step into the warm living room. "Well, what happened?" my dad says, coming out from the kitchen carrying a cup of coffee. "I'll explain later" I say. We sit on the couch as mom comes out and sits beside dad on the love-seat. "So, Guys I have to tell you something" I say. They nod, dad takes a sip of his coffee. I tell them the same story that Athan and Kathe told me. "Okay, so is that what you wanted to tell us?" mom asks. I turn to Athan and Kathe and nod my head. "Do it" I say. They nod and stand up. They then shift into their wolves. Mom screams and dad gasps. They both shift back. "Mom, dad I know this is scary but I need you both to calm down. They calm, but mom  is still shaking. "Okay, so you're telling us that they're werewolves?" Dad asks. I nod. "They are the Alphas of the pack, which means they run a small community of other werewolves. Now here's the weird thing" I watch as they brace themselves for impact. "I'm they're mate, both of them". They just sit their dumbfounded. "Uh-Um......okay-so-wait.........huh............you mean.....you're both of their mate's, like you all belong together". I nod. "Yeah, and see here's the thing". They groan. "I have to go live with them, we decided to join their packs together and so we're going to Athan's part of the pack." I state. Dad clears his throat. "Wait, does this mean we can't see you again, I mean you're gonna be with them forever?". I shake my head with a smile plastered on my face. "I wanted to know if you guys wanted to come live with us?" I ask. They both furiously nod their heads. "Great, it's settled then, we'll leave tomorrow".

We set up one more cot for Kathe, but the boys refuse to let me sleep alone. We all crawl into bed, Kathe in front of me, Athan behind me.After talking about today's event we all fall asleep.

Waking up today was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I have to leave my home, my beloved home. At least I get to keep my family. I get up and walk to the bathroom, somehow escaping the clutches of my two mates. Closing and locking the door and walk up to the counter. "DAMMIT!" I scream and punch the wall.  God dammit, why the hell do I have to leave my home for the two assholes. I feel like screaming. Why in the world did I get paired up with two assholes. My heart races as I get angrier and angrier. Suddenly I feel a sharp pain in my chest. I cough and liquid spills out. I choke and hang over the edge of the sink. Coughing, blood floods through my mouth and into the sink. My vision getting blurrier, I fall onto the ground. "Ava,Ava!!!" I hear Kathe and Athan yell through the door. I feel the worst pain in the world through my chest before passing out.
