"are you crazy?"
"that's debatable."
"you expect me to get on this contraption without proper safety or a harness."
"pretty much."
i put a hand on my head and sighed in disbelief.
"what happens if i fall?"
"you die."
my eyes popped out and i turned around to leave.
"come on, you've come this far, besides there has only been one incident."
"one incident."
"yeah. but he's alive." he laughed recalling the memory "but i honestly don't know how he survived."
"not helping."
"you'll be fine. now go."
i hesitated. scared.
"do you trust me?"
i looked towards him.
"i don't think so."
"at least it wasn't a flat out no."
he pushed me to the tree, placed my hands on the metal bar and put a helmet on my head.
i glared at him.
"what? i figured if you did fall then you'd wouldn't want a crushed head in your coffin."
"gee thanks."
"just looking out for you blue."
"for the last time my names indigo."
"sure..."
i rolled my eyes in annoyance.
"are you gonna go or not?"
"i think not."
"sucks because i think you are."
and with that he pushed me and i began sliding down the line.
at first i was screaming.
then i was laughing.
and before i knew it i was smiling.
this is the feeling i was yearning for.
pure excitement.
feeling alive.
i'm just happy i didn't die.
